As is common practice on the forum, many of us buy so many bats, I am no different.
My personal view is that many of us get taken for a ride on the prices of bats so i am always looking to try different brands.
Being based in Australia, it can be hard to get such gear, especially with exchange rates.
Today i am showing off my recent purchases, 3 totally different bats but all within 4 grams of the same weight (1197-1201)
All at varying price points but all under $400 AUD delivered each
IN order from Left to Right
Protos Tornado (F.C Sondhi)
Weight 1197 grams
Edge: 38.7mm edges
Spine: 65.1mm
Toe: 20.2mm
Warsop Stebbing Platinum
Weight 1199 grams
Edge: 35.1mm
Spine: 66mm
Toe: 32.8mm (spine through toe)
SM Pinto Pro Performance
Weight: 1201 grams
Edge: 40.7mm
Spine: 66.6mm
Toe: 25.6mm

As you can see, all very different bats. different shapes and sizes but same same weight.
Is amazing what a little bit of research can accomplish
Hopefully you guys have enjoyed this

The SM pro performance looks sexy.
So does the FC Sondhi one :o
-
Look at them grains. They are very grainy. I have been thinking about buying SM bat but they are very expensive.
I would pick Warsop for myself due to spine going to the toe.
-
the sm shape looks amazing
-
What are the face widths of all these champ?
-
Lovely bats.
The Warsop looks significantly narrower than the Indian bats.
-
The widths of these bats do look interesting, it may just be the angle of the camera.
But the Pro looks narrower at the top.
They do all look lovely bats though.
Did you get the sondhi direct from the factory?
-
That warsop looks a lovely bat, they generally take a while to open up but once they do they fly.
-
Would be good to be able to order directly from FC Sondhi :)

Id say the round toe coupled with the rounded face of the Warsop v the square and flat of the other two make it look narrower.
-
I'd considered that, but it does look harrow width.
-
I felt sure this was an Essex League post. Asian brands x Warsop. ;)
-
I just didn't want to accuse one of our royal siblings with an Aussie stitch-up. Benifit of the doubt......

Did get it direct from the factory yes which wasnt easy but we got there

In regards to Width, the Protos is 108mm all the way (camera angle makes it look narrower)
Warsop is 106.6mm
SM is 107mm

I did but was a long process

In addition, the Warsop looks my kind of bat - an absolute beauty and would be my choice of the three.

It is indeed a beauty, has been oiled and knocked in, is still opening up and is already putting holes in the ceiling

All 3 bats look lovely. And a bargain at the price point.
