Title: GM 606 collection
Post by: mickyp on February 04, 2017, 04:41:54 PM: Been doing a bit of cleaning up over the winter, thought I'd share some pics of the 3 606s I have, just to illustrate you can get some very nice bats at this grade. Total eBay cost = £170.

No prizes for guessing which is the Aura, but any guesses as to the other two?

IMO they are two of the most distinctive shapes that GM have done over the past few years, and pretty different from each other in terms of profile.

Face is the second pic down, loads of ruler straight grains but the staining must have downgraded it. as soon as I took it out of the box I had a good feeling, it's massive and picks up like a dream, and it has proved to be an absolute weapon. My match bat last season and likely this.

Still not got number two though.....

Post by: mickyp on February 04, 2017, 08:00:22 PM: Clue time - no concaving, thick shoulders with a low swell. Only lasted a year in the range I believe. Ideal bat for non-bouncing winter net mats! Performance is 'heavenly'! 😇

Post by: mickyp on February 04, 2017, 08:10:48 PM: How did you guess from that subtle clue? 😉 Yep, fancied giving one a go, definitely one for the lower middle fans, but picks up pretty well considering. Have been using it at nets but will probably put the Aura in now, just picked it up this week, hardly used and feels a bit hard but response is good, surprised how well it goes down low too considering the duck bill toe.
