Heard some interesting stuff about Python over the past few years, and this bespoke service claim is bold, especially as I am not aware that they make their own bats.
But a 45mm 2.7 stick is a bold claim, and they say anything is possible! I'll have a 50mm edge, 80mm spine at 2.10 please.

Do agree though you can't get a light bat out of an heavy cleft.
On a side note isn't Python run by a formite.

No garrett sold the name and what he had stock wise on.

They probably can make a 47mm bat in 2lb7oz, but it will probably be heavily concaved and with a 47mm spine.
-
Maybe make a 45 mm bat at 2-12 something and keep drying it till it reaches 2-7..Quite possible..But after buying, the bat will come back to the "natural" moisture level and original weight in few months for sure..

Not completely unrealistic - this from one of the sponsors is 2lb6 with 38mm edges, 63mm spine and a full profile. Drop the spine height and concave, probably wouldn't be too far away! http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=40725.0 (http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=40725.0)

If that is a full profile i will eat my bat!!!
Working with density at B3 it is possible but as others have alluded too other things have to be sacrificed..(spine height or over dried).
that Jedi is not full.(not saying it not a great bat James makes a good bat indeed...
now the biggest bat I have see pound for pound is 2.7.1oz 42mm edge and a full 68mm profile which is a ss which even B3 with the density couldn't replicate even at 340 density it was around 5 mm smaller on the spine and 7-9mm shorter on the spine..
Would also suspect it from a oversized cleft too..
I have seen clefts as low as 340 density which is as low as they tend to go and your struggling.

Ah right knew John was no longer on the forum and had been selling his stock of grips but didn't know he had sold the Python name.

Yes, however he sold it to another forum member @smilley792

I read that as you was saying he sold it to me. Lol.
He did not, and I didn't know it was sold again.
I follow them on twitter, I can't remember a change in teeet andnpromotion style, but I'll be honest I'm
Not paying that much attention. Lol.

Lol! No he didn't sell it to you.
The person who owns python cricket is a forum member but I'm not sure how active they are on here anymore

Was it @EaglesCC ?
-
I'm currently knocking in a Python bat, 2:9, slightly curved face, with an edge (if you go from the top of the curve) of 42-44mm approx. There's still room to take out a fair bit more concaving so not unachievable I think.
-
@joeljonno with specs like that my initial reaction is how wide is it?
Any chance you could post a few pictures? :)
-
I think the owner of Python is something to do with Haverhill cricket club in Suffolk. I bought one once and it was a horror show of a bat. You can contact them very easily via Twitter. I might have just had a dud :(

Is he not the phantom owner?
-
Is he not the phantom owner?
Who's the real owner then?

Is he not the phantom owner?
Eagles was definitely the Phantom owner pal you're right, I don't know whether he had/has anything to do with Python or not.

Correct I sold him a couple of bats and some stickers for about £200.
