A friend of mine was interested in getting a kaboom players bat from Australia but it's out of stock everywhere we checked. So we decided to get an Aussie Legend for him. Here are the pictures I received:

Looks lovely but could of put stickers on straight it might just be the angle of the picture
-
Nice bat apart from the wonky front sticker.... would play havoc with my OCD
-
The weight is 2.7 on this.
Forum members who have the Aussie Legend can you guys please comment on the performance of these bats as they are supposedly 'the best willow money can buy'.
-
Think I may have got the last Kaboom Signature available ;)

I just noticed the stickers after your comment. Strange for such an expensive bat. Could be the camera angle but I highly doubt that.

You bad boy. I had it in the cart and was waiting for pictures. I was a little confused with the 'Signature' tag on their website, are they the regular big-edged kabooms?
-
Gray Nicholls are notorious for putting stickers on pretty shoddily, i've got a few 50 plus with wonky stickers.
I may have gotten some of the last of the true kabooms with my 6 :p... the last kaboom i got only has 47mm edges which I suspect is gonna be the new norm with many of them only around 45mm in edge size.

Cricket warehouse have a big sale on now with their GN Legend going for $680 and XP80 2000 going for $650
Rock bottom prices.

I saw the toe snap off one last weekend, first use after the poor lad had it rehandled. In all seriousness, Stu makes some of, if not the best bats in the world, to have something made by him personally can't be bad, that being said if you can justify the price tag when you consider the likely short lifespan of the bat, IMO you might struggle to find a better bat available to the public to purchase. Just my two cents however.
Also, cricket warehouse has them on special for under $700 at the moment if anyone is after one.

Or you can get a "Hitman Assassin" LOL apparently miles better than any bat Gray Nicholls makes lmao... :D :D :D true "Sponsored International Player bats"

I think the shape of the Kaboom has evolved ever since the other 2 'big' bats were launched. 50 plus is big edges and not a really pronounced spine, xp80 is all spine and small edges. Kaboom has relatively smaller edges but a slightly higher peak compared to the 50+.
I have seen David Warner's actual Kaboom in flesh that he gifted to Pakistan's Sohail Khan. Edges were smaller than my 50+ but had a very pronounced peak.

How is the performance on these Legends, is the high price based on the looks or the performance really special?

Haha! It was the only one they had in stock, checked the weight, made sure my family in Oz could take delivery and had it ordered. It is the Players Edition which is the regular Warner Kaboom.

@adb club cricketer it used to be the very best bit of wood they had the best performing that looked incredible, but the more I see of them they look increasingly more like the run of the mill grade 1 bats

Your right. Not really such thing as a "true" kaboom considering its based on a profile thats always changing. Especially so when marketed as a replica. Warner has used so many different profiles in all formats of the game and as you say it has evolved. All you have to do is search google images and you can see countless different profiles. Just look at this as an example, might just be an xp80... but you get the picture.
