Always wanted to get a GN bat made in UK Robertsbridge but was always put of by the high price.
Saw a forum member selling his Gray Nicolls Maverick LE which was made in Robertsbridge and he got refurbished from GN with the 2017 Peter Trego Lucky 7's stickers. Hardly been used.
Weight 2.9 and pick up is excellent with a oval handle. Response is very good. Very impressed by it.

Those stickers are, errmm, busy...
Lovely looking bat mate
-
I really like the front sticker, a lot cleaner than the previous ones. Shame the back ones aren't quite to my taste, but I'm sure it will appeal to some! Lovely bat there, GN UK made bats are excellent. :)
-
It looks like a good bat mate! Good luck with it.
-
Thanks guys and @Chad I also think the same about the back stickers. But glad that didn't stop me buying this beauty.
-
Sorry if this sounds silly, but how would one know if the particular GN is UK made or not?
-
Very unique tatooish stickers at the back....
-
Personally really like the Trego stickers.

X stamp on the shoulder is Chris King

Until recently when he lost the stamp

This bat was purchased from @Uzi Sports by a forum member. @Uzi Sports had it made in Robertsbridge in GNs top willow about a year ago or maybe longer.
Don't know if X stamping means Chris King made or not. I'm sure @Uzi Sports and @Vitas Cricket know better as they have had bats made from their many times.

There is also normally a "S" written on top of the handle and doesn't always have the SH top hat sticker on the bat. I have a UK mate GN Ultimate and it's a superb bat judging from its first net this weekend just gone.

That's good to hear about your GN Ultimate and yes UK made ones seem very good and I was very impressed by this bat I purchased too after a net session over the weekend.

Great looking bat. I threw a few bids on it on the last day but was out when the bid ended.
-
I had a feeling someone from the forum would snap it up
-
Was pretty tempted with this too but I think you swooped in before me :) Great looking bat, enjoy!
Thanks mate and sorry couldn't resist :-)
-
Nicer looking bat, isn't it @Maverick79
-
If anyone else is after a UK made GN then keep an eye on eBay from this evening, a rather tempting Robertsbridge made Velocity LE might be making an appearance... ;)

Performance is very good and I can't really say much as I only had the bat for a week and used it in 1 net. Seems quite soft pressed to be honest.

Opening up, soft-pressed...

In my opinion GN are some of the best performing bats across all ranges even from the off. GM are better then they used to be early on but still take a bit of time to really open up.
-
Both my gn and gm are soft pressed. My gn took alot of mallet hitting to get it going but gm opened up very quickly. Still though even though the company say there are preknocked in and then the suppliers also knocking them in I still find they need a bit of going over yourself some more than other.

Stickers are cool very different from most out there
