Title: Air Liner Helmets v2.2
Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on March 23, 2017, 05:16:53 PM
I've had a fair few emails/PM's etc asking about the availability of the air liner helmets, this is a project that I have been working on in the background as I wanted to ensure that if I relaunch the range it's improved upon the last iteration.

They will cater for a size range of 52-66cm due to the air tech liner.

With this in mind I had a limited number of them available for trial pre-Xmas and feedback from those that hadcthem has come back in slowly and steadily regarding the liner.

I've worked on another material that should be put into production shortly as an alternative to the pre-Xmas version. I have shells in green, blue and maroon as well as black in house now so but numbers are limited to 5 of each colour.

If any members wish to get their name down for one of the v2.2 versions with a plastic shell with either a steel or Titanium grille then they will be priced as per below:-

PremAYR Steel- £124.99
PremAYR Titanium- £174.99

*Prices inc VAT and UK delivery.

I anticipate them being ready by the end of April at the latest as I'm just awaiting the liners to add to complete them. These are another pre-production model for feedback as I need to choose between the 2 finishes for production volumes.

Some developments since the above post that means a market leading protective material can be used to add a little something extra to the range.

Should have a bit more info next week once details are pinned down 👍🏻

Have done some pretty extensive R&D into several different materials over the last 24 months for different applications, the cross benefit in that's it's transferable into the cricket market to ensure impact forces being transferred upon impact are minimal. 👍

I was under the impression D30 is quite heavy? How much is used in the lid and how does this affect the weight?

Fairly negligible in terms of overall weight once integrated into the helmet design.
