Title: Custom X2
Post by: SteffanLangholz on March 24, 2017, 12:25:05 PM
Hi guys

Just thought I'd show off, what just might be my new matchbat. I've been a tough customer for Mr. John, and I've been going forth and back since September I think.
In the end, he persuaded me to go for an X2 he thought would suit my needs.

Edges: 43mm max
Toe: 23mm
Shoulder: 14mm
Concaving 1-2mm
Facecamber: Lets just call it rounded.
Handle round: As i ordered
Finish: Awesome, but should have told him to leave the scuff off, as I like my bats oiled - never mind tho.
Pickup: Good, but for a low middle bat its great!
Response: Basically 5 cm from the toe, to just above the sticker. Mighty impressed here.
Sound: Cracking

I dont know what I've done to the toe.. Seriously
John had knocked the bat in for me. But taking off the scuff+ 2 coats of oil does make it a bit softer ofc. Will do some knocking prior to nets. (just had a feel of it, hence the seam marks)

All in all, mighty pleased, and  understand the fuzz about Johns bats.
