If you had 300£ what would you then buy?
I need a new bat for this season, so what would you prefer?
I'm looking for a bat with good edges, around 2.8 in weight, sweepspot a bit high.
I'm a top order batsman for my club, and mid order for the danish A-national team, with a bit of agresiv style. (I like Kevin Pietersen style)
I have looked a Newbery, Salix, Warsop, redback, screaming cat, Gunn and more, but i'm open to everything.
-
If it was me looking for a bat i would probably get a GM Hero or Icon DXM
-
I'd go Newbery Krakatoa
-
I'd go Newbery Krakatoa
I asume you would take the SPS model then?
-
If you have that budget then yeah :)
-
thats what our models are based upon as they have a slight bow in them and low middle...perfect for the slow and low Bristol pitches!
-
I would go for the Redback Allegiance LE model or the Newbery GT335 SPS.
I think if I wanted something specific, then the Redback would get my vote as they will do you a bat to your specific requirements!
And after taling the Redback into the nets on Sunday, I am definitely convinced!
-
Matrrixx are class bats (custom made you should check them out) and from what I have heard and seen I would say Solitaires, in fact I just have ordered one :)
-
you could have three solitaires for your £300 budget!
-
Or indeed a new Ayrtek 2010!
I believe the Ayrtek bats for 2010 are now made by Newly formed WillowBaron!! So thats surely an option too??
-
2 Ayrtek's for £300 surely a bargain lol
-
There you go TheRubin....my choice would be either a Redback made to own spec for around £180-230, depending on whether you want Premium grade 1, or Limited grade 1 willow - my Redback is premium and feels gorgeous, so heaben knows how the LE would feel!
OR it could be 2 Ayrtek bats for youe budget. I believe he has just got a delivery of 10 in (in one of the Ayrtek topics) so could be worth checking out whilst the choice is there.
There are lots of decent bats around, but your budget sounds adequate for any bat - even a Laver & Wood or Screaming Cat. But I don't feel that you should need to go that far afield to get quality!
-
Thanks mate, I think I will try go for the redback, but havent decided yet :)
Right now I im waiting for kickbacksport returning with my GN Xipho bat, wich snapped in the bottom.

What do you think of this? will the factory repair it or refóund the money?
-
From all the Redbacks I've seen you can't go wrong with them.. If you want a Newbery contact Mike (Tailsman) and ask him to get one made to your specs. I'm getting a Krakatoa with the Perfect Storm Labels.. Should have it in about 2 weeks or so..
-
Newbery/Salix/Redback/Solitaire------custom made to your specs, sorted.
-
£300 budget then Screaming Cat SIMPLE !

Yes, he grades his bats on ping/performance so you pay for the quality that you want! Top guy apparently.
-

-
Surely you can't find a week's holiday in the sun for £200!!
-
can get an all inclusive in the sun for under £200!!
-
£200 to cover you plane ticket maybe thats it!
-
I hope that week in the sun doesnt mean you missing a match with the Solitaire? Haha.
-

-

-
Gunn & Moore Flare 808 GM+ , its an absolute beast, the + means its got bigger edges much bigger much better
-
I would recommend you to get you a SS custom made L.E
Its worth spending that money for 225 USD
-
I dont need a new bat anymore, I have found one thanks :)
-
What did you go for in the end? (the inevitable question!)
-
Newbery Uzi SPS from talisman and a CA 10000 from aqureshi
