Title: New bat, but what to buy?

I need a new bat for this season, so what would you prefer?

I'm looking for a bat with good edges, around 2.8 in weight, sweepspot a bit high.

I'm a top order batsman for my club, and mid order for the danish A-national team, with a bit of agresiv style. (I like Kevin Pietersen style)

I have looked a Newbery, Salix, Warsop, redback, screaming cat, Gunn and more, but i'm open to everything.

I think if I wanted something specific, then the Redback would get my vote as they will do you a bat to your specific requirements!
And after taling the Redback into the nets on Sunday, I am definitely convinced!

Post by: petehosk on January 28, 2010, 12:31:19 PM: There you go TheRubin....my choice would be either a Redback made to own spec for around £180-230, depending on whether you want Premium grade 1, or Limited grade 1 willow - my Redback is premium and feels gorgeous, so heaben knows how the LE would feel!
OR it could be 2 Ayrtek bats for youe budget. I believe he has just got a delivery of 10 in (in one of the Ayrtek topics) so could be worth checking out whilst the choice is there.
There are lots of decent bats around, but your budget sounds adequate for any bat - even a Laver & Wood or Screaming Cat. But I don't feel that you should need to go that far afield to get quality!

Post by: cd0070 on January 28, 2010, 01:40:18 PM: From all the Redbacks I've seen you can't go wrong with them.. If you want a Newbery contact Mike (Tailsman) and ask him to get one made to your specs. I'm getting a Krakatoa with the Perfect Storm Labels.. Should have it in about 2 weeks or so..
