Following up on my GM Six6 909, I wanted something with a shorter blade longer handle ... GM Neon Original cricket bat from ProCricShop fits the bill perfectly!
Specs
Weight - 2lb 9.6oz
Spine - 56mm
Edge - 35mm
Handle - Slight oval at bottom hand, feel more round at top hand.
Willow - Grade 1
GM Neon has an unusually thick handle. It's quite surprising, GM handles from the previous years were already thick compared to other manufacturers, so I don't understand the need to make it even thicker. However, it could be specific to this particular bat. Probably an odd-man out! This bat has a slightly high middle, but elongated spine with an offset edge (IMO). Max spine height is observed at approx 250mm from the toe while max edge size is observed at 180mm from the toe. Pick up and balance is amazing and it feels lighter than GM Six 909.
There is a noticeable difference in willow quality between the Six6 909 and Neon Original. The original bat has a much better ping out of the box and it almost extends till the toe, while the 909 looks like a weaker cousin brother. I can't image what a GM Neon OLE might ping like !!!
Okay, enough talk ... picture time :D

That is a nice looking stick, not a fan of the stuffing around with blade lengths though.

Cracking looking bat!
Also a bit fan of the ShagPile carpet! Giving Chads piano a run for its money for bat presentation!

@skip1973 - I guess it boils down to if we are comfortable with a shorter blade or not. I see some benefits with this bat, but I agree, this will be a one-off purchase for me since all my other bats are standard length blades.

@Calzehbhoy - Usually i put the stuff up on my sofa and get some snaps. Now the sofa is gone and the carpet + DSLR camera seems to do the trick ;)
