Evening all
Has anyone had any experience of the Woodworm IB 235 bat?
http://www.woodworm.tv/woodworm-cricket-ib-235-cricket-bat.aspx (http://www.woodworm.tv/woodworm-cricket-ib-235-cricket-bat.aspx)
It is listed under the "men's cricket bat" section, but is a mere £30 for a supposedly English Willow bat!
Their website says:
The most wallet-friendly of the IB range, this is an ideal bat for new, improving or occasional cricketers who still want the performance and feel that English willow offers.
The pick-up remains light, and we’ve used the same shape as the bat 5 times Ashes winner Ian Bell himself uses – with huge edges and a large middle.
English willow
Fitted with multi-tone octopus grip
6 piece cane handle
Is this too good to be true?

Err.. quite a few of the senior bats seem to be at really low prices... even the hard drive has 180 off the RRP? crash sale?
-
I noticed all the bats seemed "good value" but £30 for an English Willow blade seems way too cheap!
Anyway, more information by the end of the week.
Chances are I'll end up with
- Kashmir Willow
- A junior size
- A dense munter
- A combination of the above

Is frustrating they went downhill Was an online chain here in aus that had them,
younger brother had a Woodworm globe and a hard drive, were good sticks
-
I emailed them asking for a pic of a real bat and they refused
-
That's certainly not going to encourage you to buy!!

Woodworm are only 20mins down the road from me and pretty much next door to a ground we play at. I was going to visit before a game last year but they're shut on a Saturday 🙄

You would think a cricket shop would be open on a day people play cricket!

Even if they opened half a day Saturday morning they'd do loads more trade. People that work have no chance in the week.
