Hello,
I recently picked up a used bat at a car boot sale :o for a bit of fun in 20/20 matches.
when I got home I realised its narrow - maybe 100mm rather than 108mm. However, it is full length.
The bat is very long handle, short blade and I believe it is a rebranded joker / jester by black cat.
Despite searches I cant seem to find out if the narrow blade is 'normal' for specialist 20/20 type bats or if something odd is going on.
any thoughts?

All black cat jokers are narrow width.
Other companies have done similar.
-
Lekka did the same - and the Joker was a canon!! :D
Long handle, shorter blade and a tiny bit taken from the width which did tend to make some of the bats huge!
I have a couple of T20 bats (Kudos and Warbird) which are not quite as huge as the Joker/Lekka but are still long handle/short blade format but the Warbird and Kudos are both full width.

Great, that's good to know. I've only tip tapped around with it so far but hoping to give it a run out in the nets tonight. Cant go too far wrong for a tenner!
thanks.

Blackcat bats were basically made by Tim Keeley so yu have done very well for that price!
From memory I think the Jester was a slightly lower grade bat.
But for a tenner, any TK bat will be an absolute steal! Very, very lucky to find that!! :o

RIGHT WHERE IS THE NEXT CAR BOOT SALE !!! :)
I've always had a sneaking suspicion there's treasure to be found at these events
-
@ppccopener - I can think of no-one more suited to tramping for kit at a car boot. Just take your sanitary wipes for any old tin boxes you find!!
-
haha !!!
you wait if I pick up a grade one plus plus laver/salix pod/newbery Cenkos-(complete with metal carry case) for a tenner i'll be round your place to show it a bit sharpish!! :)

If you can swing the bat with good speed, score lots of runs with it, who cares if it is few mm narrower than a standard width bat; although, I must say that 8 mm is a bit too much. :D

I had a keeley made one the blade was also shorter.

There was a S/H Slazenger on Sunday at our local car boot it was Priced at five pounds it picked up surprising light but didn't buy it as it was Kashmir willow must take a ball next week and test the ping
There was also Plenty of cricket shoes and bags For sale.

I've never seen any serious kit for sale before at any of my local car boots, guess its just the luck of the draw.
Tried it out today at nets and I got the impression even a forward defensive could shoot away for a couple of runs easily. Very nice (and very large) middle.
