I saw this on reddit cricket, look at the size of those monsters! To put it into perspective that iPhone has a width of 58mm.

Last of the big boys , soon to go on a diet , 2017 velocity players edition were to come out in similar sizes, icc rules saw that change , 50plus & xp80 gone after 1 season , not sure if this is progress or not , at the end of the day you still have to be good enough to use it.

Pretty much sums up the modern game's lust for size, both in terms of 6 distance and bat size to me.
Will they last long. No. Will they hit the ball a long way. More than likely. Are they good looking bats. To me they're ugly and look like I'm compensating for something.
I'm glad the MCC have introduced the law changes otherwise we'd have a cold war style arms race to produce bigger and bigger bats.

Guys can we please stop quoting the pictures
Some of us access the forum on our phones and it eats data loading the same image 3 times per page.
Thanks

At least it's one colour, one of my teammates has put a supernova grip on with the blue bands at the bottom

Chris Lynn says in his vids his bats are around 2.8-2.9 :)
Crazy stuff
-
These bigger ones are typically for t-20 and Josh Gavan from jpgavan did some repair work on his bats and they had 50mm+ edges and they weighed 2lb13oz's

Clearly Mr Lynn will believe anything his batmaker tells him!
Probably feels that light to him considering the amount of muscle he's packing :D

Just found this.
The pic on this thread doesn't seem to support this though...

These look more like GN 50+, the one I have is very similar if not exactly the same. He could have cut just 1 bat instead of all he had, most of the bat makers are making smaller blade longer handle versions these days to make bigger bats, he just did it himself.
