Interesting article here - not sure how recent it is, but I think it's up to date.  Sounds like he's had a really bizarre time, and not been able to settle or find focus since his career.
Reading it though, it would seem he still has a few issues, and I think the writer thinks that too, without blatantly saying it.
I hope someone in cricket picks him up and gives him some kind of paid role in the game - providing he can handle it and isn't a complete fruitloop! It would be nice to see the game look after it's own if he properly deserves it.

Not really sure how to take that, I suppose unless you've been through it, or are close to someone who has, then trying to understand what they are going through must be a nightmare
