After having tremendous fun batting with my XP80 LB last night in LMS, I realised that I couldn't live the rest of my cricket life without one, so hopped on to GCCC and picked myself up a "Spare". Okay, they're stupid money, but I've realised they are all the bat I'll ever need!
-
That post is peak CBF.
-
Tempted. Might have to sell some other gear first though. Last one, honest.
-
Awesome beasties. Hit some big shots last night with it. The ball just comes out of the middle so sweetly!
-
And here I am thinking about selling mine

You aren't getting on with yours then?

Queue the cbf sales thread stampede......

I do like it but honestly believe it's better suited to the longer format(only playing t20 right now) and against faster bowlers. The cuts and pulls go like a bullet, but I'm always hesitant in going for a six especially straight down the ground(sweet spot slightly high?) and that's usually my go to shot. The spinners here come on to bowl really early in the innings.
Maybe it's the bat maybe it's just me.

Interesting... I suspect it's that the middle position doesn't suit you. Whilst my batting style might best be described as "clubbing", I've come to realise over time that the lowest middle I need on a bat is mid positioned. The low middled bats have generally been rubbish for me. Whilst this seems to have a relatively high middle, it works for me (and I'm only playing T20).

Perhaps a disparity in height plays a part?

Probably, and linked to me using a Long Blade.

Could be that as I'm only 5'10.

Really want one of these, but can't really afford to bite the bullet on it.

@tim2000s did you email GCCC or did you just buy from website! I'm after an Australian GN and have sent a message to Kingsgrove twice via there website and not heard a thing. If GCCC have an email or you have a contact could you let me know please.
Thanks
-
XP80 is one of the best bats i have seen ping wise but like @Ajdal said i am also not sure how it will suit me in T20 format against cheap rock hard balls. Mine is going to a CBF member very soon :)
Having a 2nd XP80 is a good idea specially when they are discontinued. Same reason i got 2 GN 50+.

Try contacting Kingsgrove on FB, I received a reply pretty quickly & was also shown pics of GN 50+ they had in stock at that time.

If you've got someone that will take delivery and then send on from Oz these guys service was fantastic when I got my Kaboom and they are pretty much the same cost as GCCC.

I ordered from the GCCC website - no issues with that.

Kingsgrove sorting me out with an XP70 been good to deal with looking forward to that arriving think they said it takes about a week to 10days to arrive
-
So how much, including import etc. does one of these set you back @tim2000s? (If you don't mind me asking, that is)
I'm struggling to hit the ball off the square at the moment, so a new bat is clearly the solution...
I've got a funny feeling I'll need to sell either a few bats or a kidney to fund an XP80 though :(
-
I got a 1500 and it was around 450 delivered then around 90 import duty

Yelp...
A lifetime of not hitting it off the square suddenly seems much more appealing! :-[
-
Just checked my banking, 1500 with delivery £397. Customs charge £110!!
-
Yikes, over 500 notes
The Halestorm suddenly looks a much more appealing purchase

How/where do I put up the bat for sale here?

How/where do I put up the bat for sale here?
You can't until you have 150 posts I believe and then the same section becomes accessible
-
And I assume I can't start a topic here for that either, right?

www.ebay.co.uk (http://www.ebay.co.uk)
www.guntree.co.uk (http://www.guntree.co.uk)
Or you could try the Facebook market place, that seems popular on here at the moment :)

Sadly not a viable option for me as I'm not in the UK.

Don't worry - I'm sure someone on here will reach out to you :D
