£175 - FOR A BAG?!?!!!!!!!!
The worlds gone mad!
-
Is that not identical to the Adidas one from the previous years? Just with NB livery...?
-
I'd love to know how that conversation went in pricing the new gear. How they justify charging almost £50 more than the other top end bags because its got the England three lions on is beyond me...
-
They were cheaper than that when they were Adidas and pro issue only.
-
the RRP on them with adidas was £500 so say though, exactly the same company making them but given demand they have rolled them out to the public.
Sturdy but a nightmare to get bats into and out of when the rest of ur kit in in them and take up 70% of an Audi A4 Avants boot!

To give you guys some food for thought.... recently i wanted to get an adidas version ecb coffin for 100 pounds but steep international shipping put me off . Prodirectcricket.com has pretty cheap shipping to oz , and then there's also the vat free part too . Basically , it would end up costing me about $260ish... $10 more than buying an aero standup wheelie ( which is my current bag , i had resigned myself to buying a second/new one as a replacement ). With the new colour way being soooo nice i.m.o I can't help myself and plan on getting one next payday. So , i guess the view of how reasonable the price is depends on the situation /context / other options etc . Also , seems like it may be more attractive to o.s buyers , like myself , in oz etc .

But how many Aussie's will want to use a bag with the three lions on? ;)

When England are beating the Aussies they all claim to be English don't they?

Me....so at least one. I reckon pommy national kit usually looks better than oz. Plus we cant even get our replica versions of coffins etc . Also , its kinda cool to have replica kit - novelty value. And the poms in my side will get jealous, hopefully . All good enough reasons .

I thought you sounded like a decent bloke till I red this ;)

Oh :o...... if it's 'making the poms in my side jealous' bit then it's just me being honest and a bit tongue in cheek. Had our presentation night last night and mentioned me getting this kit to a pom - he was all 'yeah , i want that bag too , it's pretty cool' . It's a talking point / common interest thing more than anything .
But , if it's me referring to poms as poms..... well, it's said with love from a self confessed anglophile. ( But I'll deny i ever said it during the ashes :D ).
