Title: ECB Training kit and equipment
Post by: mcgee92mm on May 31, 2017, 01:57:49 PM
Just picked up my delivery of the new ECB training kit and players bag, can say im more than impressed with all aspects so far. Ordered shorts, t-shirt, Hoodie and the players kit bag.

The bag is enormous, I've managed to fit 2 sets of batting pads, 4 pairs of gloves, thigh guard, towel, wash kit, playing whites, helmet (separate compartment designed for it), spikes and of course 2 bats. Its main compartment isn't accessed directly from the top like previous new balance duffles, its down the front face instead, straps are strong and look sturdy, only thing missing is a base to protect the toe of bats etc, stand it up and its 99% likely to fall over.

The training kit is as comfortable as ever, the shorts are more of a stretchy material instead of adidas' generic training short, a lot of room, the t-shirt is your average sports training type but has more of a sporty fit round the body, my favourite part is the hoodie, its lightweight enough to have a net in but also can tell it will keep pretty warm when the colder months come in, anyway, think that's a better insight than the websites give, any questions ill be happy to help!

Got the coffin and holdall bag . Both are pretty awesome.
The coffin is not quite as big as my aero standup , but is well made and prettier than the older adidas version. I ve got 3 bats in full padded bat covers , 4 sets of gloves, spikes , thigh/inner thigh /chest/arm guards , pad, helmet , miscellaneous crap,  and a bit of room to spare.
The holdall is smallish but fits more than expected. Spikes , 2xfull whites , slide sandals, knee pads , medical kit, tracksuit, umbrella , binoculars,  2x glasses , phone , wallet , keys,  2x hats,  and 2 x 1litre gaterade bottles fit in the end pocket . The shoe tunnel is vented too , which is nice .
The sky blue material on the holdall is such a cool material ... i wish they made a jacket out of it.
Overall , very happy with both items.

Its not like a unique , one off product , or a bat ( each is different etc). I get that bats don't exist until photos are shown , but bags,  really ? They look the same as the photos on various retailers websites .
Maybe would have been better to give no feedback , that would be more helpful to potential buyers ?
Nothing personal, this goes out to us all when making the same comment .

They just look the same as the retailer photos. Shouldn't have wasted your time really mate. It's not like that bag is unique to you

Well said , sarcasm and all.
But seriously,  what can actually be gleemed from those photos ?

I know what you mean mate, only pulling your leg. Seems you got a decent haul.

When it comes to bags, I think the only way you can get a good idea one is through a video review. That's how I got my Supernova (granted, I watched the IJC one but purchased from Vitas) but you know what I mean.

Yeah.....unless they spend the first 6min of the vid lamenting the lack of a valuables pocket . :D

Don't even get me started on that lot.....

I do love my Supernova though, as a keeper it's a squeeze, but I can get everything in there.
