I saw an ad recently for an unwanted XP80, and decided to adopt it as a playmate for the other XP80 I got from GCCC last month - reviewed here - http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=42248.0 (http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=42248.0)
This one is a 2000, which means it is from the 'finest' English willow rather than just 'superior' for the 1500.
My pics aren't a patch on Chad's, but here you go.

They are pretty similar in many respects, specs of the 2000 as follows, with the 1500 in brackets as a comparison:
Weight - 2'12 (2'10.6)
8 grains, couple of pin knots (6 grains)
Spine is bang on 80mm (81mm)
Edge max is 26mm (25mm)
Toe min 17mm, max 25mm (18 & 22)
Shoulder min 14mm (14)
Minimal concaving, bowed blade
Handle is fairly thin, couple mm less diameter than the 1500.
Side by side (2000 on the left)

(http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o744/alasdairwhite/IMG_1703_zpsem5lv9ef.jpg) (http://s1341.photobucket.com/user/alasdairwhite/media/IMG_1703_zpsem5lv9ef.jpg.html)
The 2000 feels more substantial (no surprise as its 2oz heavier) but the 'bulge' seems more extreme on the 1500, probably because the other dimensions are lower.
The 1500 has been oiled and I have started knocking it in, so that I can hopefully give it a run out very soon.
The twins also have a new 'big' brother and I will be introducing him to the forum shortly.....

2 very special bats to have in kit bag.
-
Xp80's are true beauties!
-
Be interested in the ping & pickup difference , 2000 should sound deeper & have better balance , compare & share
-
Nice bats. Never used a bat with such high middle. How does it play, especially high up?. How is the mid-low spot, looks very skinny...
-
Lol @Chalkie. You too. I have two Long Blade versions of these, one in a 1500 and one in a 2000. The 2000 arrived just the other day.... :D

Wow... this xp80s-are-addictive thing is getting ridiculous.
I was originally going to buy one but thought I'd like it so much that I'd need a spare . Yesterday i bought a spare for the spare !
All 1500s bought af gccc at end of season discounted price of $565au . Weights are 2lb9.8oz, 2lb10oz, 2lb10.4oz . The darkest , ugliest one ( although none are really lookers) is slightly firmer pressed . All ping like trampolines . The lightest one actually has the highest spine , the other two are a little fuller . The ugly one is the heaviest..... a bit more so than I'd like , so i will shave some weight off and put some g.n kaboom stickers on it .
So , in keeping with the theme of this thread .... here's pics of my bouncing baby triplets :

I thought I had a bad addiction! It's funny though these bats are more popular now than when they were released 12 months ago, I know the discount helps but the general reaction to the shape was not overly positive. My new legend from Stu is in the mail, a copy of an old fav, my kids don't get this excited about xmas.
-
^ "Legend"? Somebody else mentioned it as well. Is that a custom or has a stock shape?
-
I am thinking about removing an inch off the toe of my XP-80.
-
It's a copy of one he made me a few years ago, Atomic stickers though.
-
They are rediculous sizes for the weight!!
