Title: How to repair

Morning all,
just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to repair this. As you can see there's a nice seem mark which I assume caused the damage.
Was thinking about trying to pry it open a little to get some glue deep down into the crack, but not sure if that would be enough to remedy it.

Get a thin knife blade in there to open the split wide enough to fill it up with PVA glue then either clamp it or wrap it tight with twine or strong tape to keep it bound tight whilst it dries. The glued joint will be stronger than the actual wood once cured.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it might have loosened the whole section almost like that part would separate from the bat if hit again.

If it was my bat rather than force it open to insert glue I would tape with fibreglass and see if it gets any worse

it does open up relatively easy to get some glue in, so might try and do both.
just wanted to make sure that gluing would be enough and I wouldn't need to dowel it or something silly like that.
