Hi guys
A lad from my club usually bulk order 10 or so CA 5000 directly from Pakistan. He usually ends up paying around £40 (EDIT: this was in 2015 but since you took up and left the EU, the pound is worth less. Now it would be £50 and ofc. plus shipping and excluding taxes as cricket luckily is not taxable in Denmark) a stick.
He asked me if he should try another brand, and I thought I'd ask you guys.
Anything out there to be had at a similar price range, and quality? RNS, SS, RS, DSC, FC Sondhi?
If any of you have the contact email/ numbers, please dont hesitate to PM or put them here :)
Cheers in advance!

RS is worth a look although I doubt you'd get down to the £40 per bat mark - that being said the quality will be 10 fold over CA (certainly worth the extra)
-
Lol seriously RS quality better than CA by tenfolds?! ;)

Well I've never seen an RS loaded with filler/nails etc etc...

Serious question, how many RS bats have you had in you seen?

I've never seen a CA that's 'loaded with filler/nails' and I have seen quite a LOT.
-
Ive seen plenty of ca 5000's with filler. And i actually dont mind it for the price. As long as the filler is not in the handle!
-
Champ might be worth a shout, although I'm not sure who makes their blades.
However, for around £40 a stick for a 5000, he can add me to his order!!

50 odd. Never seen anything even slightly substandard with any of them. (And just to clarify before anyone takes a pop, none of them were sold via Neon...)
Admittedly my experience of CA is less, but I'm yet to come across one that didn't have something untoward

Champ are made by Champ themselves I believe, there's a few members on here that'll be able to confirm

CA 5000 is for 8000 Pakistani rupees here in Pakistan which is approximately 58 pounds. CA is the only brand in Pakistan which has fixed prices, some stores sell them for higher but the cheapest price is 8000. Unless you're getting them through a contact in the factory, I have not seen CA bats sell for cheaper than their list price from shops.
-
I'm in for a £40 Ca if ordering!!
-
Me too

I am sure you can get really low end RS bats but I am not sure what the pricing would be, or if it would be as low as CA.
I have seen plenty of top end CA and RS and quality on all of those was very good, can't comment on lower end CA bats

Well. That's a big Cricket Bat shaped torpedo into the side of HMS Brexit.
If this was in the manifesto, nobody would have voted for it!
Why was "20% increase in CA bat costs" not scrawled on the side of Boris' bus!?

Reach out to BDM and see what they can offer you.

If you're into Pakistani bats, AS are relatively cheap

Vellum?

Vellum?
It's a grade of willow purchased from the merchants. One of the lowest grades and only costs around a fiver a cleft.
