Post by: Woodyspin on August 10, 2017, 08:32:45 AM
Is it against the laws to use anything else to dry the ball other than a towel?

I was suggested the sawdust before but wasnt sure?

Depends if you get caught

As far as I know that's it as if you add saw dust or soil or anything like that you could be accused of trying to rough or alter the condition of the ball ala Atherton

Law states ball can be dried with a towel if wet and artificial substances mud etc removed under supervision.
Once saw a bowler in a league match throw the ball into the sawdust  covering the bowlers foot marks too dry it.

If you've coated it in vasaline before hand you don't have to worry about it being wet...  ;)
