Post a summury of all he 6s that you hit
-
RSA u15s v Lisneal College u15s (6th May)
Straight 6 off a pace bowler
-
I have never hit a 6 lol! :o
-
I'm on two for the season so far; one over deep cow, and one a slog sweep.
-
Also hit two this season, slog sweep over deep square leg, and a miss timed pull that still managed to go over!
-
One: hoiked from outside off over midwicket and onto the pavilion over a very short boundary
-
Never hit one, hit a straight one once and Im sure it went all the way but the fielders said it was 4 :-[
-
Never, Ever Hit One In My Life
-
1 so far! We needed 2 to win so i had to finish it in style so smashed it over midwicket for 6! It was a big hit if im being honest ;D
-
I've never hit one, but my friend hit 13 in his 145 not out!!! Pretty good for prep school cricket, don't you think?
-
I never really go for sixes tbh, just thought it would be the right time to do so. Would prefer to hit a cover drive 4 though... 8)
-
havent hit one yet dont realy try
-
Hit 2 in my life!
-
Its an amazing feeling when you nail a ball for six out of the middle of the bat!
-
Ive never felt that >:(
-
Awwwww poor Leo ;). It is a great feeling like!
-
Ive never felt that >:(
same here. :'(
-
and me, :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
All I can say to you lot is: Wayyyyyyyy! It makes the two I've hit this season alone seem muuucchh better ;D and I didn't even have to middle them :P Don't worry yourselves, it'll come before long (how long, I wouldn't know)
Although to be honest, what would you rather do, get a six, or a big score? Don't go trying to get a six and instead get caught, just play naturally!
-
Exactly Arthur. I would much prefer to hit a 50 or even a ton than wack a few sixes and then get caught on the boundary.
-
yeah me too! I only go for 6s in the last 5 overs or to finish a game in stylee!
-
Yea would much rather get a 30 or more as never done that either.
-
I hit my first 6 EVER on Tuesday!!! Hook shot over the longest boundry and then followed it up with a four in the same place.
When i hit that 6 my coach said who was on the boundary with my team, " anybody would think he had just won the world cup"
Boy was i happy!! lol poor leo
-
What cricket are you playing in the winter nozza? And man i could imagine you nozza, one of those kids who hits a boundary and celebrates like they have won lotto, makes you want to knock them out :)
-
yeah, not trying to boast but i got 16 in 10 games, 7 in the one innings
-
I hit my first one on saturday, pulled a beamer straight over deep square leg boundary
-
hit 3 on sunday, tbh tho most juniors wont be hitting sixes, A) the bowlers are alot slower so you would need ALOT of strength, B) most juniors bats are very small in profile and weight compared.
-
i got one six off a short legstump pitched ball.. timed it really well, hardly any power used. I was shocked to say the least.. (my sweetspot must be real SWEET!)
next ball was fuller wide of offstump, which i managed to drag onto my wickets with an inside edge :-[ ahhhhhhhh
-
Hit 2 sixes last night, both hooks 8)
-
Opened this seasons sixes account yesterday - I hit 3 - that's more than I hit the whole of last season!
-
I hit another one last saturday, quite a full ball on leg stump and flicked it for 6. It wasnt the biggest boundary you'll ever see but they all count
-
i got 4 in 4 overs in muck around game. still went about 60metres.
-
What cricket are you playing in winter sambo?
-
im not playing any competitive stuff mate, just me coach gets the team fom last season every month or so and we have match just to keep us into it and also a bit in front of the competition when it comes around
-
Hit 2 for my club so far this season and hit 2 for the school so far.
-
Nearly hit my first one today bounced just in front of the rope >:( closest i've ever got. It was from a pull that i din't even try and hit hard so next time i'm going to try and hit it it might just go the few extra yards.
-
I have hit 2 this year, a slog sweep and a pull over mid wicket!
Such a sweet feeling
-
Hit my first and second ever sixes today.
First one bounced a yard over the rope. Straight as you like
Second one of the next ball, exactly same all and shot but put it over a tree n into a field n lost the ball :D
Next ball out bowled trying to defend :S
-
that is super ;D
-
I hit a straight six over the bowlers head.. landed on a roof of a shed/garages down there.
They found the ball though! :P
-
Hit one last night!
Over the trees and it hit a car on the full then they lost the ball ;D
Dont think there was any damage to the car :(
-
Hit 2 for school today.
Bowling was villlaaaaaaage
-
4 this year: 1 over the bowlers head fairly short six just cleared the fence, 2 over long on heave shots, 1 swat over midwicket to a dibbly dobbly bowler, and one cut shot over point very flat.
-
im on 8 so far
-
Estonia played a team from Helsinki last weekend. Our opener scored 137 off 21 overs, hitting 11 sixes in the process! Awesome display of batting.
-
I hit 3 sixes for my U15s a couple of weeks ago and hit 5 sixes on sunday aswell. :P
-
Wow big hitter... i am still yet to hit a six have come really close though!
-
i hit one it luckily land on the line
-
im on 10 now
-
I hit a nice straight one yesterday, first genuinely big one I've ever hit and 4th of the season
-
Hit 3 sixes for county last week.
-
two straight sixes down the ground !
-
despite what my username suggest's i don't actually hit many, 1st one of the season yesterday, cleared the sqaure leg boundry by about an inch
-
Only got 4 with none this season - 2 big on drives and 2 hooks.
-
5 sixes this year! Not bad as i dont really try to hit them. Sometimes just time it well and it goes! 8)
-
My total for the end of the season is a big fat 0. I've come close on a couple of occasions but not that bothered really.
-
just got the 3 this season, but might change as i have 1 match left
-
Only ever hit one six - mistimed hook that went miles in the air and just over the short boundary at square leg!
-
i aint a slogger but against spinners i dont let the settle but i play really straight so i just go straight or deep midwicket
-
hit my first yesterday over cover, was a great feeling.
-
have hit a first ball six :) lovely top edge
-
ive hit plus 10 this year, mainly because of the short boundarys at my club,
hit one over cover, that was the nicest feeling
-
hit about 11-12 this year
-
in all forms of cricket including crap and good i have hit 25 sixes, i have been couting as i only hit 3 last year
-
Only hit 5 this year. 3 of them bring in a row in a T20 game before I had to retire :D
-
Hit about 6 in my life :) am just 12 and my teamate this year has alreadyy hit about 25ish and he's 13 in proper u13 boundaries ;) he averages 25 retired off around 11 balls !
-
Hit my first one on Sunday, a slog over midwicket.
-
Hit one in the past 3 seasons in a match, although I've hit a few more in practice games. The one I hit in a competitive match was in the first match of the 2007 season. Got a full toss on leg-stump from a medium pacer, flicked it over the square leg boundary.
Would have dropped myself for the next match if I hadnt got atleast 4 off that delivery (not really but you know what I mean).
-
i think this year i have hit about 10 sixes, give or take a few. i would have hit a few more but i am horrendously out of form this year.
the one i liked the best was a pick up off my legs, it was against some kid who thought he was a big man cos he played mens cricket and was on kent's books as a spinner. i literally took him apart in my one good innings this year.
he bowled one drifting into my pads and just picked it up and it flew a very long way, it hit the trees halfway up at lordswoods bottom ground. then he bowled another a full toss and it got bludenged over midwicket for another six
-
in all cricket this year i have hit only 17, i say only as i hit about triple this last year :D
-
in all cricket this year i have hit only 17, i say only as i hit about triple this last year :D
exactly the same with me
-
looking back over all the previous posts i'm a bit surprised. i am by no means a brilliant batsman but i'm 17 and i've well over 50 sixes in my life, and my first one was when i was 11. i dont mean to offend anyone, just a bit surprised as i thought my 6 hitting was below average!
-
amazingly 27 this year with one last sunday adding to it, however some are on weds nights evening league and it isnt good standard
-
I have only hit one this year!
-
maybe that fusion is to blame ;)
-
Only the one this year (N) Almost 10 overall I reckon, bearing in my I'm only 14.
-
I only hit one last year... aiming for a couple more next year.
The bowler bowled a full toss and i somehow managed to pull it over cow corner!
-
A measly 3 this year, to be fair i didnt try and hit many more.
-
yeah, its better to keep the ball on the ground unless the team nead quick runs
-
If you want to here poor six scoring, I hit one six last season, but hit 83 4's. I don't think I can hit in the air, damn my top hand technique
-
Hit 15 sixes last year including twenty 20 games! Very good progress :)
-
I hit 16, 9 in one innings, I have the card but there are no records of boundaries unfortunatly. 9 in my 158no (albeit playing a lower standard) and 5 in my 99no (grr). Two just in the last game of the season
-
i dont count my sixes but its always nice to hit one... i find a cover drive that roclets past extra cover far more satisfying than a slog over cow corner
-
I'd much prefer a cover drive too Mr Cricket, but hitting a length ball over wide-ish mid-on sweetly always feels good!
-
I am about the drive, half volley and the cut, chuck in a sweep, you have my scoring shots to get boundaries, clip of the legs for 1's and 2's
-
i hit 24 last season. hit 6 in one innings (in 15 balls!) hit my first one when i was 11 :D
-

Was it in IncREDiball or Hard-Ball?
-
hardball pal, going back a bit! under 13 cricket. was a fair big hit to be fair to myself, cleared the short boundary, and the road that ran along the side and into the field next door!

I hit one in a semi-final last year, straight back over the bowlers head, textbook shot!
-
Last season I hit a poor number of sixes: 3
mind you, one of the sixes was a shocker, coming in at #11 they brought on their opening bowler back on so they could get us out for a low score, he gave me a nice ball to just have a slog at, pull for 6, you could ay I just closed my eyes and hit it, I basicly did the same the next ball, but to cow corner which had the longest boundary on the ground, it wasnt a 6, but it was close, much to amazement to our team, and frustration to their bowler
my last six of the season was textbook, off spiner, right over his head for six
-
is there going to be a sixes leauge the season ??????
