Holy cow - just watch Twenty20 Aus v Pak.
Tait has just bowled his opening over - just getting into his bowling, and he's hitting 100mph!
And now Nannes coming on at the other end! And with Johnson coming on as number 3 bowler, that's some pace attack!
Taits next couple of overs could be interesting - well worth watching chaps!
-
Where are you watching it? Is there any online streaming?
-
Sky HD fella - sorry!
If you were in Oxfordshire, you would be welcome to come and watch!
There should be some streaming somewhere though! Tait has jjust got a wicket!
The wicket is so quick, so with the speed of these bowlers, the Pakistan batsmen are looking a little uncomfortable!!!!
Aus were all out for 127 in 19 overs. But into the 4th oover, and its 13 runs with 2 wickets down!
So worth watching just for the bowling alone!
-
I'm coming over you got wi-fi so i can work :-)
-
check out links on myp2p, p2pu and live cricket streaming - you should be able to get something from one of these! Wish i could see this - which county is he playing for this year? Is it glamorgan or gloucesterishire or something like that?
-
Of course!! I'm working as well.......... ;)
Johnson is bowling now, so no rest for the batsmen!!!
-
There seem to be some possible streams here?

And Pakistan are fighting back, although there has been a huge element of luck with the batting!
One shot was only an inch away from being caught, another shot was top edged high but fell into a gap!
But 3 or 4 excellent shots too!!
So this match has everything! ;D
-
Tait signed for Glamorgan for the 2020:

Kamran Akmal - GM looks like a shorten blade..
-
What speed has tait been clocked at then pete over the 100?
-
He clocked 160.3kpm in the first over!
In fact his first was 156, second was 159 and third ball was just over 160!
So yes, clocked over 100mph in his third ball!!
-
And if Akmal brothers perform, Pakistan will win. But if they get out soon, then Aussies will probably win.
-
i heard they will be performing H.M.S. Pinafore in the style of Bart Simpson and Sideshow Bob....
Big hit that one!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Lol - made my day that comment
-
By the way - all that pace, in my opinion, will not work in a 20/20 match - need a bit more variation than boshing down the ball at 95mph+ and expecting wickets to explode out of the ground - mind you, certainly wouldn't mind taking on any international team with that bowling line-up if all you had to do was cause mayhem and destruction - they'd have to introduce 'change of pants' breaks and the "sh!t your pant shuffle" will become a textbook shot :)
-
yeah i agree SS , pace on the ball , if they middle it , then it will fly ! oops as im writing this alam is out..
-
You may be right in theory. But Tait seems to offer some variation.
And he only went for 13 runs and took 3 wickets off his 4 overs! So his bowling worked this time fella!
-
i agree too...tbh i havent seen him bowl alot since the 05 ashes series and when he played then , he leaked runs , only seen him for an over today and he seemed better
-
This game is going one way, then the other!!
7 down and still 21 runs to get. And then Gull on his first ball gets a huge 6!!!!
What a game!!! :)
-
my boss has just turned our office TV to bloomberg
grrrr
-
I'm not saying that anyone is bowling badly, tait from the sounds of it is a man on fire (from someone who is renound for his inconsistency) - i just dont think that 9 times out of 10 that having 4 nippy bowlers will work in 20/20 - of course Pakistan will manage to lose this match and disprove what i am saying, but i think against a SA, India or England that it could leak major runs (but i also apprecciate it could rip through side).
I suppose it's the first time we've seen a team with 3 possibly 4 bowlers who can hit 95mph in the 20/20 format.
-
10 runs required off last over - 8 wickets down.
And now 9 wickets down!!! 1st ball of last over out!!
10 runs off 5 balls and Umar has gone! I reckon that the Aussies may of got out of jail here!!
-
Single off ball 2
-
Another single off ball 3 - now 8 to win from 3 balls!
-
Swing and a miss!!! Now 8 from last 2 balls!!
And 1 leg bye from ball5 leaves a 6 required to tie the match
-
Thats it - a 4 off the last ball. The Aussies have won by 2 runs!
That was such an entertaining game!
-
btw pete bud , i missed it , did tait bowl 100mph or more??
-
Yep - he clocked one at just over 160kph, which iis a fraction over 100mph!
-
faaaaaack! imagine getting that on the toes...ouch!
-
Sky Sports 2 - Sky Sports Classics
Eng vs Aus 2005
Aus need 282 to win
-
Damn I was going to start a tait thread lol!! U r quick. I was excited. Thought Shoaibs record was goner. Tait peaks and falls away. 150 isn't falling away but you get the point. In South Africa both Lee and Akhtar were 158-160 pretty consistently. They've also crossed that mark more than once. ( I think tait has done it unofficially once)
But damn he bowled quick. It's actually 160.7kph that's the fastest ever in Australia.
Thommo probably will deny Tait as well. We all know how he is with his records. Imagine if Akhtar Lee and Tait at their peaks got to bowl unlimited bouncers ouch!
-
Best delivery was Johnson to Naved Ul Hasan, smashed him in the middle of his chest at 150 kph.
-
Slightly off topic, but the same game... what bat is David Warner using? A new GN model for 2010?

-
Looks flat at the back similar to the t20 dual?
-
Just watched some highlights. Christ Tait did zip it through! Would be interesting to see if he could keep that going for 8 overs straight in a test match :-]
But your right, not always about pace in T20, its all about varying pace and using cutters etc...
-
talking to haddin was funny, never really liked him but he was quite a laugh, he's gone up in my estimations of him. I'm sure he'll be over the moon to hear that :P

if anyone wants to watch..
-
Ok, little bit bias being australian and all. In regards to the comment about England, SA being able to play a better game against Taits 150+ pace attack, maybe. Still pakistan are the best 20/20 team in the world. Also no mention of Nannes who bowled exceptionally well, just a little unlucky the way the pakistanis were hacking and getting away with it, but finished well and brought it how. And Steven Smith the new leggy might cause some trouble when the Poms come down under for another 5-0 bashing.
Sorry couldnt resist. Regards.

Steve Smith does look a very promising talent!
-
Steve Smith does look a very promising talent!
He looked superb in th Champions League
-
Yes and he did quite well yesterday, averages 40 odd with the bat in fc cricket.
-
Mohammed Sami has also clocked over 100mph but hes did not count bcoz he did it in Pakistan.
-
Watching that video you can see why Pakistan are not improving, all their players are having a go at each other and sulking whenever something goes wrong!
-
Steve Smith was being really talked up when I was in Oz, the media wanted North droped for Smith before the last test vs. Pak.
Tait was really quick. I quite like him, felt sorry for him when he had burn out
-
I thnk the media wanted North dropped full stop. who they put in instead is a very interesting problem, Smith can only come in to replace hauritz or take the second spinner possition when the pitch supports a 2 spinner attack. He'll have a hard time replacing hauritz after the success he had against the windies and Pakistan.
-
They were desperate for Smith to come in and used the fact that he got a ton in first grade to justify a test match number 6 slot!
-
Yeah, definatly he's a talent, But a hundred in first grade doesnt begin to compare does it.
-
thats what I though, although I did watch some first grade while in Oz (North Sydney vs. Manly) and the standard was above Minor County and some first class that I have seen here in England
-
with out a doubt i think the standard is extremely high for a first grade cricketer in any major city in australia, barring Canberra. I have no doubt when Smith comes into the aussie side he'll make runs. But even then Hauritz and Johnson could be classed as bowling allrounders. The batting order in that team is extremely competitive.
