Hi Guys
Visiting the in laws in a couple of weeks time which puts me within a short detour of the B3 factory on the way home. (Its going to be a 9 hour round trip so every cloud and all that). I organised a bit of a bulk buy with B3 with the guys from my club at the end of last season settled on a db3 1 stripe. If I'm honest haven't really liked the shape my fault not B3's, i didn't really know what suited my game, picked a lighter weight than my previous bat that had gone well for me and db3 has a lower middle than previously used with that in mind what questions should I be armed with before i visit?
My main criteria are performance over looks so does that mean a one stripe will suffice or will 2/3/le or crown be better (if budget allows) a bat with a mid sweet spot for pick up and the fact I'm lucky I play on bouncier than average english pitches but other than that with all the options available at B3 i don't really know what I'm looking for.
Any advice from the experienced bat buyers on here much appreciated :)

I am sure the guys at B3 will be able to advise you. If your previous bat worked well (with regards to weight, how about middle position and pick up?), then I would use that as a starting point. Have you tried other bats that you like?
You mention a bouncy home pitch - How are the away pitches (do you need an away bay and a home bat, perhaps?!).
I would suggest the most important bits are shape/ weight and pick up (I'll take good ping as read). Then see how much you wish to spend, which will determine the grade.
Good luck and enjoy the trip to the in-laws...

@Davehugh You can use the bowling machine at B3 to test out different profiles. Personally i would go for a bat which feels right in the hand & pings.

Take your gloves, waft lots and lots of bats around - they have so many tweaks, you will find one that just feels awesome.
Has your current bat got a concentration of cherry marks, where you hit it the most, hopefully not leading edges like one of my mates :)

Son had a 2.8 DB2 3 stripe 2 years ago and says it was best bat he ever had. Superb pick-up. Slightly higher middle and went like the clappers. Think it's the best all round profile for average to high bounce wickets I've ever seen.

We look forward to having you - I am sure we can sort something out that suits. When is your visit?

I was planning on bringing my broken kahuna that I loved and my current B3. I'm not sure how much it will tell the guys I expect there will be plenty of cherries on the toe and edges ;)
