Title: The Womens Ashes
Post by: Woodyspin on October 21, 2017, 06:55:12 AM
For those unaware it starts tonight at midnight on BT Sport 1.

3 ODIs - 2 Points for a win
1 Test - 4 points for a win and 2 for a draw
3 T20s - 2 Points for a win.

This will be a close series i reckon!

Think it will definitely be close, especially as Meg Lanning is out of the whole Ashes.

On a side note I love this format and think it should be used in the men's game in the series' against the smaller nations.

Yeah or atleast similar with a 3, 3, 3 series you'd habe to adjust what was awarded as winning just the test would get you draw in the series

Why can't they run these series side by side?

We all know that the vast majority of fans are there for the Mens series, if there was a women's ashes series game in the gap between the men's games I'm sure more people would turn up? You're in Aus, you love watching the game, why not?

Is it not feasible?

I think it’s because most of both sides in the women’s teams will play i the WBBL

Yes it was a great innings but it was also an awful pitch which had no life in it at all.

Synics might say Australia only needed a draw and produced a  slow flat pitch.

Can't see the point in the test match for the women. Far to often they end in a bore draw, with batters looking to boost stats. Going at 2 an over all game zzzzzzzzzzz

Try and catch the highlights of Wyatt's innings. Pretty solid batting to take England through.

Great innings to draw an ashes series down under!
