So on my very boring traffic ridden journey home today, i had a thought. Has anyone noticed if any bat makers put a little serial number on their bats so when they come in they know where they've gone and as for giving them to pros they can see which bat's have had the most runs from them?
I think B3 do? could be wrong...

Aldred does

I have a B3 here that someone traded in and it does have a very small serial number on the handle, 1695 by the looks of things.
-
GN I believe have Numbers on the handle also Hawk cricket

Isnt that the code for the shape so you can tel them the number and get the exact shape again?

Aldred does
Seen one with a number stamped on it; and one without.

Yep Aldred does on all his bats
B3 do on the twine
-
The blank bat I got off eBay that was apparently a Hawk has one, it looks to have been stamped in then coloured with biro!
More interestingly it was bound with blue twine...
