Count me in. Preferably Sundays. I am available whenever and wherever, I will clear any prior commitments.

Sounds good bud! Would also prefer a Sunday and preferably Bristol, Bath or Warminster for location but I'm easy (Just not Dec 10th!)

Title: Re: *Proper* Southern nets in cider country

If not Taunton/Bridgwater/Weston, then Bristol/bath would be best for me.

I'm dead keen subject to availability, should be moving house around this time though so can't commit to any dates at the moment unfortunately. If in Bristol shouldn't be a problem though! Sundays would be better.

Best Bristol option would probably be Merchant's Academy (http://"https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Merchants+Academy+Sports+Centre/@51.4082137,-2.6159271,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xef93af0f45e2f25c!8m2!3d51.4082137!4d-2.6159271") which is about the only place I know you can definitely hire a bowling machine. Reasonable facility and decent prices, other locals may be able to suggest different options though.

I’m there already.....where are you all?

Sunday would be best for me any date is fine

Warminster would be best as it’s the closest lol but I’d be happy wherever the majority wish to go.

No good this winter as the wee bugger is in NY for a year, but my brother's based in Bristol usually so anything from April 2018 onwards I would be keen for if i can double it up with visiting him. Might even be able to wrangle a special guest apperance for someone if it's during summer :)

Right, they've responded and the 19th is available (12th unavail) - I've gone back to them about the 26th as otherwise we won't be able to face the delights of "I haven't played cricket for 5 years" @DorsetDan #Hustler

Price wise, it'll be £35 per hour for 2 lanes with the bowling machine included for free - will update once I get a response RE the 26th.

Right chaps, we're provisionally booked in for Sunday Nov 26th from 11am to 1pm for 2 lanes with access to the bowling machine. If we could all confirm then I'll get it paid for on Tuesday (Boozy long weekend in London coming up!). The cost is £70 for the 2 hours, so the more attendees the better!

Don't worry about paying me for now, let's just get the numbers up and we can sort it closer to the time - I've added a list below and will amend as and when people confirm.

Right chaps, just spoken to the centre again and we're all sorted for the 26th as discussed (11am-1pm) - they've said we can pay on the day so we'll just split it out then depending on who attends. Total cost is £70 for the two hours so shouldn't be much per person!

Address is;

Merchants Academy Sport & Fitness
Molesworth Drive
Withywood
Bristol

best £25 I ever spent. Club mates hate it as it shows up their weaknesses. Fortunately/unfortunately none of them can use it so I've never faced it. I found it took about 10mins to get used to then you can bowl everything from bouncers, yorkers and slower balls at will.

Great session and good to meet up with everyone, lots of clobber on show and enough kit to kit out a club let alone 10 blokes on a Sunday morning in the depths of bristol.

Look forward to the next one, I might just be warmed up to bowl by then. 😲
