Hi all,
I have this bat for sale. Grade 1/2 English Willow, 2lb 11oz with 12 lovely clean straight grains and a nice strip of heartwood. Its "traditional" in shape and goes like stink off the mallet. Looking for £70 inc delivery. Email me at info@bulldogcricket.co.uk if you are interested.
Can be labled with old or new Bulldog stickers or left plain.
Thanks, Bulldog

Is it just me or does every bat pic seem to have a furry rug in the background recently??
Looks a cracking bat for that price tho...I'm sure it won't gang around too long!!
-
Maybe a marketing technique Tom. Take note...... :P
-
Oh God, I can feel my wallet-securing straps weakening as we speak - why do these bats always appear when I shouldn't be buying them.
Kieron, what do the new stickers look like? - genuinely interested in the bat, please PM if you don't want to fire them out across the forum.
-
Rug free here mate perhaps lying it on my dogs back....although he's no Bulldog ;) plenty of excess fur there tho
-
jeez someones getting a bargain here....!

Can't beat a furry rug to show of your wood !!
Fatcat, new stickers are less in your face. I have a few bats here labled up. I will go and take a picture and send it to you.
For anyone buying the bat, i can blank and include new and old stickers so that you can choose. Although there is a knack to putting on the new stickers

Less in your face! I might prefer the old ones then!

If you like "in your face" then yes the old stickers are the ones for you.
After last years reviews in the Wisden and AOC where they loved our bats but not the stickers, we decided to tone the image down a bit. We will be offering both new and old on all the bats we sell now so people can choose.

Kieron,
Is it possible to get stickers for my bulldog i got from you last year? just had it refurbed and now have no stickers.
-
yes roco, email me you address to info@bulldogcricket.co.uk and i will put some in the post to you. Would you like new or old ?
-
I have to say that the quality doesn't quite look up to scratch!!
By the way, was talking about the rug!!! It needs a little better profile. The grain of the rug is fine, but the colour isn't quite right!
Nice bat by the way!!

Who was the lucky buyer???
I cannot tell a lie Petey - it was me. We really should meet up somewhere (Windsor?) to compare willow, children and mortgages!!!!!!!
-
Try out the Castle Hotel (Windsor) cream teas Brucey!
-
Yeh sounds like a plan really should head to HQ soon in lanndon so if a meet is occurring on route let me know
-
Great idea fella! I have an estate car so can bring all my bats!!
I may actually be working from home until they sort my blooming wages out - so could be a good idea to do it sooner rather than later!
And Windsor isn't too bad for me. ;D
-
No worries mate happy to travel and buy the lunch....let me know as can drop CKS helmets down to westminster next week instead of sending them to make a day of it.
-
Been to the post office yet Kieron?
-
Hi Fatcat, yes bat was posted yesterday, parcel force 48. It missed Monday's slot as i did not get there until 5.15, so you should get the bat tomorrow.
Cheers
Kieron

NEWSFLASH CHAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have received this piece of willow and I'm moved to comment on here about how nice it is.
Having jousted with Bulldog in the past about his bats (what is it about cats and dogs!) - I have to say that he's spotted a good one here, in my humble opinion.
The bat has nice grains, picks up well and has a lot of wood on it. I'm not to fussed about willow grading, so I don't know what it is, all I know is it feels nice in my hands, and very lovely when I bounce my balls upon it.
Bulldog's service was great, the bat arrived as described, promptly and with all the bits I asked for.
However, before he gets too big-headed, I have one complaint - don't ditch the old stickers!!!
-
Bouncing your balls on the bat?
Is that a cat thing? A bit like furballs but the other end???
Just dont post any pics of that please Fattus! ;)
Sounds like a very good buy!
-
I'll show you my balls if we hook up next week - I keep them warm in my office!
-
Catman, got gloves but ran out of room for pads, may still be able to help as have a few winging their way here, will come up with logo's for some display boards, may bring you cheese.....
-
Gloves is good enough for now, you lovely man.
Get in touch when you have time and we'll work out some kind of contra-deal. No joy with grips?
Cheese = JOY
-
Grips are possible but remember they would have been a pain to bring back but can be added to a delivery, will discuss with you face to face next week I think.
-
Broohaha! I'll put the kettle on.
-
is everyone off to meet FattusCattuss next week....
-
Be there or be square....

Only if they bring cheese!
Hey, Mrs Fatty and the kittens are away for a couple of days next week, lets all get together in a pub at Heathrow and show each other our goods!
C'mon Nobby - bats and beer, you know it makes sense!
-
Are you taking same the stuff I want to see at Talisman HQ

In English Nobbs? Or do I just re-arrange the words?
-
Nope I think it is fine, for a change!!!
It was directed at Talisman, that is, is he taking the same stuff up to you that I wanted to see at his place
-
Well that'll teach me to stick my nose into my own replies.
I respectfully withdraw Nobby (which has not always been the case :D narf, narf)
