Title: Creaky Handle
Post by: t2ylo on November 03, 2017, 10:00:25 PM
I’ve been refurbing one of my bats and stripped back I’ve noticed the handle really (and I mean really) creaks

Not had this before. It’s not super flexible but it’s really noisy.

What does it mean?

Do I need to rehandle it?

sounds like a glue failure and parts of the handle have delaminated. A rehandle will be needed or unbind the handle and see if the delamination is easily treated.

I’d use it till it snaps, bats normally perform very well just before the handle goes IMO

brand new excuse for being given caught behind from a feather edge when your sure you didn't hit it.

Sounds like the handle inserts are loose.

"Bloody creaky bat handle, I got nowhere near that"

"... but you were caught at cover, mate"

"It. Was. The. F**king. Bat. Handle. Creaking!"
