Title: Light pads
Post by: Tailendfielder on November 19, 2017, 08:45:50 PM
Looking for some reviews on h4l 50/50 pads and / or puma evo speeds. I have been using the iridum 6000,s for years, ive had them repaired twice and i think tis time for a change.

I love the two straps but ive decided i want a slightly more traditional look but with foam rather than cane and they dont come in two straps. I’ve looked at a few, i also think an all white back is gonna look really scruffy quickly.

Any recommendations?

The adidas pads are very light. I think they are made by ss and are very similar to the top ss pads.

Which also happen to be similar to these...

Adidas or VKS? And is it the ones you’ve linked or the ‘lite’ ones.

From memory the 50/50 pads were under 800g each.

Very comfy, very light.

Morrant pads have been the lightest in my opinion. But it doesn't seem to work well for everyone.

I second Morrants as being extremely light and close fitting. My Puma bionic 5000 are very light and outstanding pads too. I think if you like the puma 6000's you probably couldn't do much better.

For men's small size, Aero P1's are the lightest. I had both Morrants and P1 and P1 were lighter.

But there is then the major drawback that you have to use Aero pads... ;)

 :D

I tell ya, they are fantastic and nobody bother me about them. Plus, I don't use thigh pads with them any more and all that "lightness of being" makes footwork so much easier. :D

What's the easiest way to post a video?

I really rate the new adidas XT 1.0 pads are amazingly comfy and light. And traditional looking. I am really fussy with pads and these tick all the boxes
