As Ben Stokes is off to play in New Zealand I did wonder if he'd have a new sponsor/
I saw this posted on another thread so tracked down some images:
Looks like Stokes has been happy with the tape on his gear in the Canterbury nets too...

Looks like he's using his New Balance kit with the logos covered at the moment.
How long until he's using new kit do we think?

Heard he may go MRF

Wouldn't surprise me, they spent big money on ABD so not afraid to payout. Plus with Stokes being the IPL poster boy it'd make sense.
-
His bat clearly has a red bull sticker so It’s obviously made by red bull. Just like the f1 cars!!
-
Are those Keeley bats? Why is he using a low middle bat?
-
Thought he might be going to adidas, he's got some of their 2018 shoes on, had one of their t-shirts on in the airport arrival pics that he presumably wouldn't have been able to wear in public as part of his NB deal and they've just freed up some budget space ditching Bairstow
-

because he always has used low middle bats? like the NB 1080, steve smith profile..

Think MRF are sponsoring his ipl team as well

If he just removed the stickers from his existing bats I'd guess they're FC Sondhi made, but they could be literally anything.
As for using a low middle that's obviously what he likes and it works for him

The bats are proportionally size-6 or shorter for his height which explains why he is using mid-low-low middle.

What on earth does that mean?
If a bat is short handle it is short handle. It doesn't magically shrink to a size 6 if the batsman is tall...
-
Glad I wasn't the only one completely baffled by what that may mean

A batsman who is the height of Ben Stokes and is using a standard SH bat, is proportionally using a much shorter bat for his height. I am 5'6'' and size 6 bat or a shorter bat would be, proportionally, the same size bat as Stokes is using. I have said this before and I say it again, bat sizes as we know and use are wrong! Short batsman like myself when we are using a SH bat are actually using an oversized bat for our height.

Just enjoy the pics bro ;)

Warner’s bat isn’t far off a size 6

It is Stuart Kranzbuhler's genius to figure out the correct size for someone of Warner's height.

Don't worry mate , i get it ...and I'm with you on this . I'm 6ft3 and use a sh with inch cut off top ( so like a ssh). It is like a guy your size using a harrow or similar .

Could be a B3 bat too.

I have used size-6 bats to great effect!

Agreed. Everyone has a different preference. My friend is 6 ft tall but he likes to play with a super short handle + long blade bat. Its a unique combination but it works best for him. He usually buys a long blade bat with short handle and then cuts off about 2 cms of the handle to get his preferred balance and size.
-
^ It was a size-6 bat length, with a size-3 blade. This configuration was invented by Laver. My bats were made by MG-2. Marty Graham (@MG2) is a fantastic bat maker!

Still no sponsor, but Stokes with some hit & giggle runs
England's Ben Stokes scored 93 off 47 balls for Canterbury Kings in New Zealand's domestic Twenty20 competition.
The all-rounder also took 1-17 as Canterbury beat Otago Volts by 134 runs in the Super Smash in Christchurch.
Stokes struck six fours and seven sixes in Canterbury's 217-9, before Otago were bowled out for 83.

Agree with your posts re sizes most charts state at 5ft 6 an harrow is suitable but find ia full width S/H 32 inches long with the blade 22 inches long works best.
-
so what height is a standard SH bat optimum for ?

Now apparently 5 foot 9 and above

I thought Stokes was back in NB for a bit http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8053/report/1127451 (http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8053/report/1127451)
The image from Cricinfo is an old one though, as I've checked the Durham website where it seems that this is an old kit.

Anyone know what shoes stokes was batting in today?

I noticed they were a bit odd. Looked like a cross between an Adidas trainer and the Adidas spikes with the blue heels.

Trainers into spikes?

Kit looks good, comments on that post, less so. Some incredible (awful) stuff on there, especially given as we likely know only a very small facet of the actual truth.
-
I’ve noticed his bat looks awfully small for his size, must be the way he likes it

Any info on his shoes turned spikes?
Are these the white ones?
