Been doing some research and it appears the Mighty Willow Pearl is getting some fantastic reviews. Looks like they can only be purchased out of the UK (I live in Australia).
I think they are a relatively new bat maker but does anyone have one and what are their thoughts?
-
I have it and it is amazing. I got it on a discounted price and it is a serious piece of wood.

@KW9221 - Any pictures? Can you post a review?

I tried ordering on their website. They offer international shipping to USA. If you don't see Australia on that list then just email them. I had a similar issue with Kippax and assumed they won't ship to USA. Got in touch with them on the forum and Kippax enabled shipping options to USA. So try it out ..

ive been in touch with Paul from itsjustcricket.com who has agreed to ship one out and a very interesting price.
ive narrowed my selection down to two brand/bats and just wanted some feedback before I make my final decision, both options are pricey (in my opinion) so just wanted to do the research first :D

Not to take your thread too far off topic, but why is there such incredible variance in postage to Australia from makers and retailers. Some are asking north of 45pounds. Prodirect, Vitas and Talent were all excellent and closer to 25pounds from memory.

It all depends on if the retailer wants to make a few £££s on delivery or if they are willing to make a loss on this.
-
It'll depend on the quantity of parcels being sent out/who they use - I normally find I get quoted around the £25/30 plus insurance. If insurance is included then that could easily push it up to £40+. Prodirect etc will always be cheaper due to the sheer amount of parcels they send out (don't forget they're not just cricket!)

I wouldn't say that's necessarily true..
I've just tried parcelhero for a typical quote on a bat (dims 95 x 15 x 15) from the UK to Aus and there is an array of prices starting from £50.46 to £91.47 (https://www.parcelhero.com/shipment/quote?Q=207,b14%207hg,11,5212,1,1.6,95,15,15,postcode,cms,kgs,N,postcode,,,1&p=&s= (https://www.parcelhero.com/shipment/quote?Q=207,b14%207hg,11,5212,1,1.6,95,15,15,postcode,cms,kgs,N,postcode,,,1&p=&s=)) - personally I get it cheaper than this and it seems that others on the forum do, however if you don't shop around or work out a deal with your courier it seems that the prices can vary a lot with the couriers wanting to make a lot of money on this.

I would have thought most smaller brands/shops use a service like P4D which as mentioned above usually quote around the £30 mark for a bat (Inc insurance up to £250) which should come most bats.

FYI itsjustcricket.com picked up some MW Pearl and Black Edition today. I been in contact with them and they are extreemly happy with whats on offer at the moment.
Im still waiting to meet with a local bat maker and check his stocks before I make my final decision.
