Title: Salix 2018
Post by: mvclayton on December 04, 2017, 12:55:56 PM
Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has heard or seen any of the 2018 Salix bats yet? They seem to be one of the last to announce their range. Just wondering if they were making any changes to models or decals for next season?

Cheers

I'm not sure why a brand like Salix, that does not rely on TV exposure, bothers to change so much?

Do they really, I've never looked too closely but a lot of their models seem to be the same/very similar shape anyway. So I doubt they change too much from year to year other than the stickers.

I guess I meant the stickers and trimmings.

Historically they don’t change much. The pod has been flagship bat since year dot, SLX been around 6/7 seasons, the Raw & RawT20 more recent inline with shorter blade option plus one other model that can change but normally stays in the range for a few seasons. Even stickers tend to only change every 2 or so years as do the softs.
Tammy Beaumont is the only pro who uses a branded Salix and she uses the most Minimal of the range in the Raw.

Have to wait and see what 2018 brings

They haven’t changed much. Check there instagram and twitter account. A cross between last years silver shiny stuff and the torque style from the range before. They look pretty smart to me but i am very much a fan boy.

The biggest thing ive seen is the pod will be a convex shape. they tend to prefer always used concaving.

I loved Hits Hard - I liked the shape and style of the bats and I even like the branding. I wonder why he didn't continue with it?
