Title: Laver and Wood PB refurb and new shoulder review
Post by: procricket on February 07, 2010, 08:13:56 PM
Laver Pb was brought in 2008 and so far has got more than 3000 runs it has been lit-rely battered so i decided after having the shoulder and top of the bat  torn off by a Tanzanirian Quick torn off it was time for a refurb.

Stickers for it are coming in the post from Laver and the refurb was done at Chase by Dan i think he has done a sterling job.

could someone put the pictures up for me

Mark

It is a gun mate will look even better when the stickers come even though they cost me £20 but the fixing and refurbishment are top class to and didn't cost that much and Dan tried to match the grain in which he did well with he has inserted about 3 bits of dowling inside

Looks like a great refurb. If you take a knock on that shoulder will it not just come loose again or is it dove tailed/tung & grooved?

be surprised if they have used a TnG or dovetail in something that small, most likely to be dowel plugs as mentioned above....3 of them holding it in place....risk of it breaking off but if it goes well and has accumulated 3k runs then id do what i could to keep it rolling for another season

i used it broke it was that good and to be fair i expect it to happen again it ties me into grills and ayrtek after it broke off the ball went into the grill and demolished it but it kept me in 1 piece just that why i got the grill off you Tom.

dowling that he put came out of the carbo core handle as seen in picture as well so it looks hollow on top to
