Mate if we could see a bit more of the stickers they look lush! haha :)
Edit: Sorry mate, had a blonde moment and didn't press next! :P
-
Yes nice looking stick, and a nice bottom part of the stickers!
-
what was arong witht he venom you had on here for sale?
-
There was nothing wrong with the one i sold, it was 'Venom No Antidote', sold it to get this one, 'Venom Pro'.
-
Thanks ianbuchanan mate, i didnt know how to upload on to the main page. cheers
-
looks a nice bat mate, playing for essex i thought you might get some sponsorship or money off?
-
play for essex? what's your name?
-
lol unfortunately im not a essex pro, hence not sponsored. Just play in the development/ emerging side (literally the same as the junior teams, but for boys over 18). No where near good enough to progress to a higher level.
-
fair shout, u play any games against other counties?
-
im glad youve got a nice new toy to take your mind off everything that has happened
-
Tbh we dont get many fixtures, but have played against few minor counties before.
-
I guess ye Mr Cricket, but please sshhhhh lol
-
im sure you could have got them down to 200 on the bat as tony jane and sue are great people i bought venom, pads, gloves x2 thigh pads and i got around 80 pound off aswell as few free grips! as i kinda know them! they also rang me when fozzie was in bcause they always give us good deals on stuff for being regular customers over the years and know people from our clubs and kinda sponsor our club, also gave us free autograph bat in front of fozzzie, oh and for the record cooks bat is a warsop! seen it myself! (wasnt meant to say anything but bopara has a few warsops (Gm id)
and there is absoultely no difference bewtween "no antidote" and "venom pro" its just the stickers! so you have just wasted money when if u wud have asked they wud have stuck new stickers on for you there and then for 25!! or stick them over the top me and a few mates have had it done when we had red and green and black venoms we just went there and all got venom pro's in pink for a night game we had, but never the less a great bit of wood, i just dont like warsops anymore as they cant make a 2 8 one or its very hard and it still picks up very heavy as my venom pro pink was made for me hence sold without using! however the 2 10-2 13 ones pickup like a heavyish 2 9 so they really are great bats just not for me!
-
how is aus going aidy, scoring loads of runs? your from down essex way, surely you must have heard of this man with the venom banging the runs in on the local circuit?

how is aus going aidy, scoring loads of runs?
not really mate 20's/30's but its quite hard first grade but i would say my standard is equal back home but im working hard technically in the nets as i struggle out here with bounce! and the pitches where i am are slower but bounce so i keep getting caught cover/ mid off! however i seem to have rectified this and play a late cut or open the face to third man instead of driving on the upish which in england i would do easily as a bit more pace and less bounce.
however even though i havent made any runs out here i can feel in myself that when i come back to england i will be twice the player i was bolwing and batting as i have matured a lot more aswell as just learning more, so time will tell when i come home how many runs and wickets i get....
-
Agreed with everything said aidy. I previously had a venom no antidote hence bought the 'pro' even tho there is no difference. I was actually about to purchase a pink venom pro until Fozzie came and suggested a diff bat. The bat i had chosen, Fozzie said it had a high middle which isnt suitable for club pitches and the toe was very thin meaning more chances of damage on the toe. I bought this bat (£225), platinum gloves (£45) and platinum pro pads (65) and was charged £330, so i guess i gt 5£ off lol.
-
haha aidy must be a top experience out there whatever happens on the pitch, have fun nd take care ;)

70% off people use warsop around essex but whats his name and who does he play for and what league and i could tell ya, that bat looks identical to my pink one i will try and find pics! and yeh fozzieis a great bloke so down to earth and omg u wanted to see his warsop! trust the venoms they sell aint the same his had about 20 grains weighed 2 10 but picked up like a 2 7- 2 8 and i said too tony why didnt u make my venom pro like that and he said jokingly ur not a pro mate and winked! -DAMN IT
-
you should have said "one day mate, mark my words" and winked back twice :)
-
Does that mean we dont get the best of the best blades even at such high prices?
-
Does that mean we dont get the best of the best blades?
THEY SAY WE DO BUT ITS A LOAD OF BS, well jusdging by fozzies bat =no we dont!!!!
it picked up like a feather and pinged unbelievably! i was hitting balls into the wall! and fozzie loved this bat if i was in england for the last game he wud have given it to me as it was pretty badly damaged and warsop was trying to extend the lifespan.
i always go in their dressing room as my stepdad knows graham napier but suprisignly he doesnt give anything out, i got kaneria's shirt! tendoeschate's nie spikes x2 one brand new blue pair from SA and some gm gloves! ermmm.... tim phillips one day shirt.
oh and for the record ten doeschate uses warsop aswell as i was sitting with him and i was like yeh im gonna get a gm and he said mate dont! warsops are the best bats around here and i looked at his bat and was about to say "is it a warsop then" and he laughed before i could say anything and nodded! as they aint allowed to say there bats arnt GM under contract i was speakin to ravi about against worchesshire, and i have endo's email and asked him for stickers! lol and he said he wud get strung up giving the stickers out but i cna have gloves.
fozzie and tendo best blokes around, worst bloke= mark pettini so arrogant!
-
yeah pettini comes across a bit like that just when you see him on tv and that
-
Not bad mate. Have never liked pettini tbh lol
-
nobodies bats are what you think they are, i think that kranzbuhler makes for pretty much all of the aussie team and how many actually have gn stickers... cameron white, is that it?
-
ye i think so mate, majority use kookaburra
-
nobodies bats are what you think they are, i think that kranzbuhler makes for pretty much all of the aussie team and how many actually have gn stickers... cameron white, is that it?
micheal clarke uses impala and will only use impala as he is apparently superstitious like that, ponting also uses impala but will pick up bats from all round the world and whateer takes his fancy! phil hughes did have some kook factorys and got some bats off ponitng i believe however when he went to south africa he apparently brought back around 10-20 D&P bats and has used them ever since. warner uses impala, watson uses kransbuhler, hussey is a millichamp man apparently aswell as kransbuhler! and yeh i love watching pettinin but he is the definition of the word knobhead!
so im pretty sure they just pickup bats from all arou the world and whatever takes their facy
-
lol how do you know all this?
-
D&P make good bats, wouldnt be surprised in the slightest if some of the SA team used them
-
I was under the impression the SA team use mainly DP and B&S??
-
yeah that wud make sense pete, not sure which ones use which tho, and are there any pros we know of that DO use their sponsors bats? lol
and if anyone knows who makes ross taylors bats i would love to hear it because after watching him last night its official... its an absolute gun!
-
i know someone who plays sydney first grade with steve smith and dave warner! and he asked them everything! and he also gets whatever stickers he wants like bought off the players, he offered me some kahuna ones some ignite and evo ones the other day and even offered me so gm flares! as most players in aus use impala.
oh and boys! our bats off the shelf are absolute (No Swearing Please) compared to over here when i went to GCCC the kooks and GN and puma's where amazing compared to home they picked up so much better and where massive for their weight! not sure why they just where.
the impalas and bradburys they had where awesome, impala's felt like tree trunks on a stick and the handle is pretty thin but the bats are massive and pick up so good, i want to get one before i come back just cant justify $700 =400 poundish
yeh only phil hughes i kno off in the aussie team uses d n p but yeh apprently all the SA use D&P especially JP duminy as he is loyal apparently and ab not sure about the others tho
-
yh james foster ACTUALLY uses warsop ha ha
-
would you be able to bring some gm flares back? i wud deffo use some on my old duellist
-
yeh mate i am working on getting a load off him im trying ot get some 2010 kook and some evo's first, players get bats whereve they are in the world and use waht takes their fancy.
in the IPL bopara was using SS so was warner so its just location and how a bat feels i think

i heard that players just trade bats or give them to each other if ones likes the bat! i reckon this happened in india coz warners bat looks well used and i reckon he just traded it with a indian in the team for a new gray nicolls or whatever bat he was using!
-
some players just look right with their kit. Duminy really suits the GN gear, just like Hughes with kook
-
aidy - is the cricket free to watch over there or is it on sky like in england?
-
aidy - is the cricket free to watch over there or is it on sky like in england?
nope free to watch all the aussie games are on normal tv, domestic is ony austar(sky) i said why is that too someone and apprently they tried too a few years ago but it gives australia its identity or some crap and there was a national outrage as the family sit around the tv and watch cricket no matter if they have austar or some crap! its awesome tho i wish england did it
-
yeah thats how you get the kids interested in cricket, and in turn thats where u get your next superstars from! no wonder cricket isnt as big over here as other places
-

i agree there are a lot of working class country towns here so people wudnt have austar but in free time sit and watch cricket as a fmaily they all do it over here im in the country and been to lots of familys houses for dinner as they are great with hospitality as me and my mate are both 18 and they try to make a family experience for us, and before and after dinner cricket is on tv even the women watch it and AMAZINGLY understand it!! its great on boxing day it was lots of food beers and cricket!!! round a familys house, carona's and lime cant beat them in the heat of australia lol
-
haha i am 18 also, i wish it was like that over here! i miss the days when channel 4 used to show it lol
-
I think I heard that channel 4 is getting the Ashes, anybody know if thats true?
-
Not likely Middler - the counties want the cash and have an agreement with sky until the end of the next Ashes series, by which time they will have lobbied the incumbent government to change the TV rights rules back.
very depressing for those of us with poor man's telly!
-
i heard that also that channel 4 are buying the rights.
in aus the cricket is on chanel 5 or abc i think its just normal channel 4 and 5 which you would class it as heare. well thats what channels it was on when i was there
-
if cricket is shown on bbc, channel 4, channel 5 etc. the ecb will lose around £100 million from sky, meaning a whole load of money is lost in county cricket and club level cricket. they reckon that if this happens then county cricket might not survive past 2013....
-
but if it is free to watch it will increse the interest and more players will come through, id prefer to see a couple of years financial sacrifice and then a big resurgence of england cricket than things to just bob along as they are
-
But saying this you have to ask how many people have Sky? I'd say it was most of the population who would participate in cricket. So I don't think it's creating the interest that's the problem as the interest is already there. Just need finances available to clubs at our levels....
-
I love the blue stickers mate, willow doesn't look to bad either!
