Title: Ghost 2018 range
Post by: Straight Bat Shot on January 25, 2018, 04:12:51 PM
Just seen the Ghost 2018 range on Prodirect Cricket - safe to say it's one of the best looking around and pretty reasonable prices compared to other brands.

Also falls in line with the majority of forums taste in terms of minimal branding and all white... take a look guys!

I have a 2018 ghost bat and I must say it's lovely, dead weight is a tad heavier than most of my other bats but pick up wise for a full bat I must say is very good, only downside is I hate the standard kook girls but easy fix

I was more writing about the softs - pads & gloves look incredible

The Ghost is a fantastic range, the bats perform really well and are a delight to use. I can speak from personal experience about the 2017 Ghost Pro pads (they haven't changed too much this year so I'm sticking with mine) and they are classical in design and also very comfortable. As a member of Team Kookaburra I had the privilege of visiting the show room last week to collect my 2018 kit and Kookaburra as a whole have done a phenomenal job. The only reason I personally didn't go with the Ghost is that I'm not a personal fan of Sausage finger gloves not saying they are bad as they aren't they are high quality I just prefer the split finger and went with the Kahuna Pro bats and gloves this season. The new 'sweatbands' on the gloves this year are also really high quality and fit very well. Kookaburra have definitely got the right formula this season and are worth a look at least as for me its the best kit in the world right now.

But you have to say that as part of 'Team Kookaburra' right?

I don't have to say that regarding the Ghost as I personally don't and haven't used the Ghost bats and gloves, I use the Kahuna and Blaze. Although I'm not allowed to discuss the terms of my contract I can confirm that I'm not obliged to do so. However my personal opinion is they are superb and I genuinely believe they are supplying the best kit in the world right now, from talking to the guys at the factory and explaining how the changes have been done I really understand how difficult it is to please the market but they have done it well.

Team Kookaburra or not, the 2017 Ghost bats were a gorgeous profile and the branding was spot on - the gloves are fantastic too.
But the 2018 look just as stunning, if not more so! IMO at least.

Nice try ;) like I said I cant discuss the terms of the deal. However anything I do/have said is all completely true from my point of view. What I will say is the Kahuna kit I will be using for the 2018 season is without a doubt the best kit I have used (and I thought the Blaze kit from 2017 that I used was perfect, they've just raised the bar again for 2018).
