Just a few pics of newest purchase
Have had a few top end bats pass through since September 17 but not found anything I felt comfortable with
Ie: gm chrome le...ss Gladiator Players Edition
So was after something very similar to a b&s le I had circa 2014
Managed to find out that phantom’s bat maker may well have made my b&s
So first impression is good lovely pick up oval handle at bottom round at the top
2lb9.5 only just passing through mcc bat gauge
Not the softest but by no means a brick taps up well pretty much all over
Finishing good no scuff sheet does have relatively thin toe guard which I like
Rather flat face not a fan of the grip but will change that although bit disappointed it’s a bit grubby
Insanely good bad case
Stickers actually look better in the flesh definitely marmite

Super stick. Good grainage. Big for the weight. Imperial purple is always a winner.
Unless you're playing County/State cricket, get rid of that bat gauge and go as big as you like, I say!
To us mortals, the rules don't apply.

That's interesting, I've just looked up Phantom Cricket.  It says its based in Leatherhead.  It looks like it is where Romida's was.  Has Romida's closed down ?

Very nice looking bat and a lovely shape. Bat cover - outstanding. In the sale, I have bought some Phantom flannels (one for the juniors there), very nice they are too.

Excellent, you can't trust google for everything !  The search says it's in Leatherhead an the streetview is Romida's.  I'm pleased now as I have spent many an hour in Romida. over the years.
