Looking advice on which would be the better bat maker to get a custom made bat copy done? Any heads up and advice welcome been a few years since last bought a bat. Have been looking at either B3 or M&H
Thanks

B3, definitely.
You're opening up a whole can of worms asking about Millichamp on here....... :o

Welcome to the forum, Where are you based?
-
Thanks for the response. B3 you would recommend then? Good bats? Lol ok Il not mention MH again ...
N. Ireland.

Definitely, B3. Lately, I have seen few B3s of @brokenbat and I must say I am highly impressed.
-
Anyone but M&H. B3 have a good reputation, Red Ink will do an excellent job too.

Safe in the knowledge there isn't dislike button for the rest of the forum:
M and H all day long. At their best they are absolutely superb.
:)

I’ve used the same guy for a long time now. Robert Pack (Blueroom / RPC)
You’ll not be disappointed and you’ll probably save some brass against the other two as well 👍🏻

Pot stirred :D
The M&H I have is great as are my Red Ink, Hell 4 Leather, Affinity and Kelsall, for a custom/copy your probably better off with the smaller names on that list or B3 as they control all the parts of their bat making and from my experiences are good people to deal with.

Not sure you can guarantee the bats are made in SomerSet when it comes to M&H
-
That's true you cannot guarantee they all are. @springbok45 does have a point, for a copy of an existing bat maybe another manufacturer would be better.
Interesting thou, I was on the M and H website the other day and a brand once seen as over the top on bat prices probably fits in the middle to high region now. Certainly not very top end price wise in 2018.
The clearance items they have, I agree totally do not represent good value for money, looks like some discounted bats are sold thru the pop up stores....

I got a B3 which I will do a review on tomorrow.
But I'd personally go to Dave at XX cricket (Norfolk cricket bats)
He has made me a absolute gem and the finishing is next to none. (I contacted him on Twitter)

Also speak to @Neon Cricket , they do loads of customs.

presumably second to none rather than next to?

B3 all day long
Best bats I’ve used
-
I can happily make something to your specs if you are interested, if not plenty of good options on here
-
There are lots of good bat makers but for me it is B3 all day long, even my lads size 4 pings!
-
Thanks for all the info and feedback above. Much appreciated.

Who do you play for Hamilton.

Sorry @Hamilton Coulter, I've come to this a bit late. As the crow flies, your 'local' batmaker is probably Helygen Cricket. But you'll need a sturdy boat, they're in Anglesey! :) About time someone set up to make bats in NI, I'd have thought. Best of luck with your purchase!
