Title: Spartan MC1000 wheelie bag vs Spartan MSD Camo wheelie bag — which to buy?
Post by: nad12 on February 17, 2018, 12:52:25 PM
Hi,
I have the chance to purchase a Spartan MC1000 wheelie bag or a Spartan MSD Camo Wheelie wheelie bag, brand new, for £30 each.
The MC1000 is considerably larger than the MSD Camo. I do not have much kit (one big bat, large pads and large gloves, XL clothing). So my needs are not great. I don't tour, just intend to play a weekend game.

The links showing the bags are:

I need a bag, whether it be a wheelie or duffle, but I do not know which one to purchase, or if £30 is a good price and if it is then should I buy both?

Can someone in the know guide my on the differences and which will would be the wiser choice (i.e. yes, the MC1000 is larger but more hassle to cart around, or the MSD Camo has better pockets, etc...- that sort of guidance)?  Which would you buy or is they better out there for £30?
Thanks.

£30 is an excellent price for either of these bags. But these are intended for people with loads (too much) gear. If you only have 1 bat, dont keep wicket etc I would get a small duffle. They hold everything you need and you don't have loads of pockets where you lose things.
Also, theyfit in the car and cupboard easier.
Personally I have always found the slazenger v series bags excellent. They usually cost about a tenner.

Make sure you take into account the time spent looking for the MSD camo wheelie. Gotta be annoying when you're late leaving for your game...

A mistake I’ve made in the past is buying a bag that I couldn’t grow into, meaning as I acquired more gear I had no room in my bag. Although, that bag was one of those standard 70cm length Slazengers. Plus, with a bigger bag I will be able to fit the whole bat (blade and handle) in my bag rather than having to leave the handle hanging out, which I don’t like doing.
I like a bargain so I will go for one of these. The Camo is 90cm long and MC1000 is 110cm long.
Which is better and why?
Thanks.

In that case The head would go for the MC1000. It's bigger and got more pockets. The heart would go for the MSD. Camo is camo and there is no better colourway.

Thanks gurujames.
Yeah, I’m not sure about the Camo colour scheme. Hard to tell by the pics.
Before I pull the trigger, would anyone care to comment on the better bag?
Thanks.

Go for the MC1000

You don't know what you'd get with the MSD as they haven't put any pictures up ;)
