Slow down the time between each ball you face it's too rushed
Slow down the Pace of the machine you too rushed in playing your shots (I know we all want to have a ego and face pace ) but you there to practice various shots give your self time to get into the right position to play those shots
-
I love the look you give your bat when you nick off...
Your grip stance and position all look really good, you could try and get your head moving a little more positively to the ball on occasion.
As Gary said give yourself more time between deliveries, also hold your position after your shot better, you have a tendency to wonder around a bit.
-
nicely balanced stance, no head falling over. When you drove strongly through the offside you moved positively, towards the ball. There are a couple of times you don't get your head across to the ball just outside off stump and you nicked it or play and miss. In defence, a positive movement to get your head across and in line will put you in a better position.
Good luck,
David

My main point would be the same as Buzz's, you do the same as me and lead more with your foot/leg than you're head, so it's not always over the ball when you make contact.

All good input chaps.... admittedly we were rushing a bit through the bags.. I was sharing the net with my father in law so wanted to make sure we both had a fair crack at it.

I think this is an interesting comment as I do personally feel like I don't have time on the ball like others seem too and someone the other night said on occasions it looked like I went twice - personally I don't think I'm concentrating enough on the ball at the point of release. last year when I really worked on that I saw my game improve.

Lol.. its a new bat.... literally first outing... it is however an absolute peach and has gone straight to No1 match bat position.
I think the head movement is a good over arching take away from what people have said... funny as its what I've been telling a mate of mine with respect his game, after all where the head goes the hands and feet will follow.

You will get into my team :-)

Please wear a helmet sir. You never know, some edge from the bat bouncing up

Very fair point.... tbh I mix and match helmet wearing but completely appreciate it only takes a split second chance event. As it happens at the moment I have ran out of contact lenses and find my glasses get fogged up too easily - making it (in my opinion) more dangerous as I can loose sight of the ball.

Lead with your head the rest will follow

Agreed. Kids that ball. Stick your head right in there.

And make sure the chin strap is tight had to have an operation last week to remove a foreign body which entered into a cut in the nose caused by the grilled being pushed upwards when batting.

I see buzz and others have provided their valuable suggestions but I would like to point out your stylish flick @ 35 second. It had class written all over it.

:D... Not bad for a fat lad!!
My next bag with instructions to the operator to set it short outside off so I can cross bat everything to leg didn't look quite as composed!

I enjoyed watching this. Thanks for posting.
It was nice to see a net video where you can actually see the ball. So many are too low res or too far away.
Out of interest what kind of pace was on the machine, at times you looked very comfortable and solid and others it looked like the ball rushed you a bit.

Thanks, glad you liked it. The pace varied between 55 and 65 mph

I was in the Cave earlier that day for a net. Fantastic set up they have got there
