Title: Do bats go 'off'?
Post by: Mister Le Chiffre on March 12, 2018, 11:52:14 PM: Basically I've not played in many years, had a spinal issue. Anyhow I was clearing out the loft and came across my cricket kit. Dug out the willow, they still look decent enough but they've been up there for many years. Will they still be good enough to have a hit with?

i recently found a GN powerbow that I bought 15 years ago. tried it out in a training session and it still comes off awesome!

Having had it made for me in 2012 I retired it a couple of years ago due to it having seen me get a fair few runs over the years and I felt it had died... Saturday.... GUN again! Possible re-handle and refurb and sticking it in the bag again!!

So I would recommend drying it to an inch of its life it’s got to work

Sadly in the 15 years without playing he lost his ability pretty much

I know that one. :(

Lofts can be very warm places, can't they? I know some old bats of mine seem to get pretty well dried out in my parents' loft. I never tried using them.
