Title: Bleaching cricket bats
Post by: SP007 on March 21, 2018, 09:55:15 AM
Hi guys,

Ive noticed some bats (like mrf and kooka) have extremely white coloured willow thats has been bleached.

If i want to get this 'white' look to my bat, how would i go about bleaching the bat myself?

cheers,
SP

I've also noticed that the increase in bleached bats maybe it's due to a lack of quality willow  it's always been a good way hiding willow imperfections

I am pretty sure there is a thread on this on here somewhere. Not that I can find it!

I have it on reasonable authority you can use vanish carpet cleaner.
I won't be trying it...

There is a thread on here or google bleaching wood eye protection  thick gloves and a mask are advised to be used in the bleaching Process.
