Title: Bat Repair - Edge Dent

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and starting to refurb a few older bats for my son who is growing quickly. This forum has been excellent for tips and tricks for a new user. I can't get any pictures up on here currently. I've read the instructions but still can't manage it.
I have a bat that has a dent on the edge that is too deep to sand out. It looks like the bat has been hit against a 90 degree table edge or something. Can anyone help with the process in repairing this? I want to do it myself and not send off anywhere.
I've tried searching on here but cant find anything.

You’ll never get it all but try steaming it out with a kettle.

I can't see the photo too well but small dents can often be steamed out. Hold it over the kettle as it boils, the wood will absorb the moisture and swell. It works well with smallish dents and makes larger dents less big.

If you have a steamer it's much easier and safer  as the polnted nossle directs the steam onto  dent

PVA glue and willow dust.
Fill it up, dry, then sand it down.

Thanks everyone. When i can get around to it i'll give steaming a go.
