As a few of you will remember, I was looking for a couple of millichamp and hall bats to satisfy my needs for this season. After searching, haggling, dealing, sanding and buffing, I have finally got the 2 bats I required for the 2010 season.
Millichamp S6 (Red):
I brought this bat of Roco_Da_Pixie in a part trade for some other gear, and once it arrives, I thought that the middle may not be what I wanted, but I thought to give it a fair go and use it a few times, and I am glad I did. I scored 67* with it in an indoor game and i have decided to use this bat as my match bat. It weighs 2lb 10oz with 9 straight blemish free grains. I refurbished the bat today and applied the new 2010 S6 stickers and it looks immense!
Millichamp Original (Green):
I am sure this bat is familiar with a few forum members. I traded this bat with another forum member, purely because it is around the same weight and middle position as the S6, so its an ideal bat to keep in the bag. The bat is a LH I think, due to it being slightly bigger, but this may aid me should i need to score quick runs. It has been refurbished my Millichamp and Hall so its good to compare their refurbs to mine!
Overall, very pleased with my 2 blades for this year, and hopefully, they can score me some runs!!

thats my old original!! i dont think its a long handle :S nice bats mate will do you well!
-
Yeah they both ping really well. I love the look of the S6, looks awesome. Will be trying them both out in the nets tomorrow morning.
-
I've got a brand new set of S6 Pads and Gloves here in Mens R/H if you want to co ordinate. Very good price.
-
s6 looks a beauty and so does the original. how come the orginal has a kook kahuna sticker on the toe??
hope they serve you well mate
-
Have to say, the s6 looks like an absolute beauty!
-
The original has a kooky sticker on the toe because Ian put it on to brighten the bat up I believe, or something like that!
I purchased it off Ian and then traded it with Craig as he really wanted 2 M&H.
And the Original does have a few repairs cracks at the toe, as you can see from the pics, but they are nowhere near as bad as they look!
Its a nice bat and pinggs well too! There are bargains available peeps!

Used the S6 in the nets this morning, and it absolutely flies! Obviously, with the middle being alot lower than I am used to, I was mishitting the first dozen or so balls, but after I had adapted, I was finding when (And it was only a few times) I found the middle, the ball was pinging. I played a few punch shots in the air against the spinners and it really does ping well.
I didnt get chance to use the green bat today, maybe tomorrow if I can by asked to get up for a 9am net on a sunday!

I love M&H bats, I am still regretting selling mine when I got my blade, they really are top bats.
Looking at getting another one, Harlequin or Original, Or a Newbery Thruxton SPS. Now that I can get good prices
-
Yeah they really are beauties. I havent had chance to use the green one yet, but the red one is something special. Definitely one which I will be using next season! A few team mates have M+H bats, me being one of the new ones to start using them, and the harlequins look beauty.
I picked one up today to have a look, and it picks up really well, and this particular one pinged really well when you hit the mallet.
-
Yeah, my M&H was a beaut! Made for a overseas pro and was the best 'Pinging' bat I have ever owned. It was a Solution shape but with a few changes and I had some 2003 original stickers on it, willow was anything special looks wise, but, my god it went.
Can post pics if wanted?
-
Yeah feel free mate!
I wouldnt say my bat is the best pinging bat I have ever owned, mainly because I have only really batted for it for an hour since I got it, but from what I have felt today from a 20 minute net session is that it could well be right up there. The S6 is 2 seasons old, I just refurbished it and applied the new stickers, but it has made a difference, not only in the appearance, but in the performance as well.

This was my beloved M&H, shouldn't of let it go. :(

yeh that irwinstir hes selling my old ca wit puma stickers from a year ago dnt buy it at that price
-
Yeah I am not going to buy it, it just extremely familiar to the bat pictured in Liams photo. Even the front sticker looks off centre (like it does on the picture on page 1).
-
it is liams bat
-
I sold my bat to irwinster, for £75 with a battered harrow bat. I used it for a season and there was a split in the toe. I bought it for £100. And the stickers were applied by Rob and M&H
-
it is liams bat
Yes it is, it weighed more than 2lbs 8oz too
-
Faulty kitchen scales? Haha.
-
Ha, was top end of 2lbs 9oz, he tried selling it for 150 on ebay just after he bought it, he obviously failed. And I had used this for around 35 matches, along with nets and stuff
