Hi there,
Looking at the possibility of bringing a team over next year. We have Holidays in July and September. September is ideal for us as it coincides with the new season but are teams still playing that late?
Cheers,

July would be better as kids are on holidays so it will be easier to raise a team. Yes loads of teams are still playing in September and the league season will be nearly over so that could also work.

You could find it a problem getting a game on a Saturday in July due to league cricket.
Also sept could be a problem as many clubs and individuals now stop playing when the league games cease between end of Aug and mid Sept.
Also it gets dark in the UK for cricket around 7pm from mid Sept.

Most tours I have done don't play Saturdays for that reason.
Cheers for that. Both of you.

Either choice is good but July weather is slightly more likely to behave. The most important thing is to get fixtures in your diary early enough and with reliable enough clubs to ensure you have the best chance of playing! My old club had frequent requests from touring sides and if we were given enough notice, a lot of players would arrange to take a day off work to play.
