Saw this on TV today.

From top of the handle, it is clear AB is using SS bat and putting his MRF stickers on top.
Saw Shubman Gill the other day batting with CEAT bat but had the 2018 SS grip.

Ab’s Bat has had his name on the bottom during this IPL #sharpie
-
So its true then. All these bats made by SS.
-
That’s hardly surprising, mrf and ceat are tyre manufacturers
-
Could be 'Super Short' handle?
I thought they were made by SG, but it's all smoke and mirrors this game.
-
Wonder how much SS paid him to leave it on there??
No way would a pro be clumsy and leave it on the handle

Money talks. No player will care much nowadays.

your assuming a pro actually cares about the sticker on his handle?

Given most pro’s are very meticulous when it comes to their bats - yes I assume he cares and he’s getting something for leaving it on

All players want to make money at the end of he day :)

No, it is SS, and SH. My own SS bat has the exact same label on top of the handle in the same colors, font and design, so no doubting that it is a SS bat.

Are they, we’ll see countless shambling resticker jobs on here over the years.

The players won't mind that mate.
-
I'm sure it's a SS handle from HS. ;)

Agreed.

He’s got a massive counter balance at the top of the handle - yet he would leave the sticker on the top. Doesn’t make sense if you care that much
But hey

Aren't all pro's bats 'made' specifically for them?
If there is an SS sticker on there, wouldn't that mean its a shelf bat that he has 'chosen' out of?
You wouldn't waste a sticker on a bat that you knew would be taken off anyway.
If payed by SS for the placement, wouldn't this be a breach of his contract with MRF...

Just because you care about the feel/performance doesn't mean you give two hoots about how it looks.

I also get the impression there's a fair bit of changing room bat swapping goes on. I don't think sponsors really give a toss, we're maybe in the keenest 0.01% of kid aficionados, an average fan in the street won't notice nevermind care.
