Title: Imported and Local made
Post by: jayralh on May 16, 2018, 10:27:07 AM
Hi everyone

This question has been in my mind for some time and it does kind of confuse me. So here it is

Why do local made (UK) cricket bats costs more than India and Pakistan made?

In UK its easy to source willow but for asian market they have to import from uk. So that costs importing charges. Then why asian bats are cheaper compared to UK made .

On other hand imported australian made cost a bomb.

Why is that?

Taxes and overheads plus minimum wage.
UK costs are very large compared to India or Pakistan

Bats in Australia are just expensive. Doesn't matter if they are made locally or not. CA top of the line costs 450-500 Australian dollars here in Pakistan, but is sold for 1000$ (GCCC price) in Australia.
