Didn't need another bat but ended up with this monster.
Weighs 2lb 9 with an Inch shorter blade - pings like a monster as you would expect.
Thought i'd try one of these out before they get banned!

Impressive girth indeed, sir, but God's teeth!
That GM/GN horror! :o

Haven't got as far as looking at the bat itself yet, I can't get over the massive fold in the grip :(
-
That looks loverly!!
-
2.9 at that size. Amazing.
-
@csnew , Looks great!!
From where did you source this? What was the price?

Picked it up from eBay- brand new for £240. Surprised I won it
Seller said it was sourced from vitas

Grip just came through the post so was in a rush to get it on and get some pics up. Apologies for the heart attacks :D

^ Talking about grips, is it a thin handled bat?

In terms of modern GN’s - the handle is fairly normal. But thin to what I like/use .
Definitely needed another grip
-
The GN-AUS bats I have are thin, ovals which I prefer...much more comfortable.

Always good to hear :D certainly pings like crazy

Possibly one that has been discussed to death elsewhere but does anyone really think that banning bats like this is in recreational cricket has any value at all given the more pressing issue of the alarming drop in interest and participation at all age groups?
-
Mine is also huge, just over 2’10 and 48mm edges, and response with mallet is great, but pretty much decided it’s too short for me, especially as the Blitz shape I got from Tai is so good.

Too short? How do you mean?
-
I have the same issue. Getting use to the bat being 1 inch shorter.
I’m 6ft (with a very upright stance) so finding myself trying to adjust where I hold it. Will give it a go - if not might end up in the for sale section or swaps

I’m 6’2 and have a fairly upright stance at the crease so think (haven’t tried yet) that being a shorter set up I may play over the ball when going for a big shot - which I have done in the past with a standard SH bat. Bear in mind I am a mainly a bowler and my batting is what I would call occasionally effective but not pretty ;)
So think I will probably sell the Pro Performance, which I may regret but doesn’t feel right having it sitting around not being used.

Totally agree.. We play on uncovered green tracks with a large seamed new ball taking slivers of the track every ball and they think its a batsmen's game?

I'd be amazed if it made the tiniest bit of difference!

You'd think that the powers that be were actively trying to get cricket done away with
