Title: Ashes 2019
Post by: potzy248 on May 20, 2018, 05:41:52 AM
Bit of a noob when it comes to the Ashes.

Can someone please tell me if the dates and grounds are set for next years Ashes series? I honestly cannot find them anywhere on google.

Cheers,

Sure I remember Old Trafford and Edgbaston being awarded Tests for the 2019 Ashes, but pretty sure they won't have announced the dates as yet.  Gonna assume the others would be the Oval, Lords and probably Headingley.

Noooooooo ! Not Edgbaston!  Thats one test oz can write off straight away. Be kind and give us 5 tests split between The Oval , Lords , and Old Trafford please.

Day 1 at Edgbaston sorted, although the shambles around tickets online yesterday didn't help things.

Headlingley tickets on Monday, then waiting for the other 3; set for the Oval ones as a member, but I can't help but feel Lords/OT are going to be a nightmare in the ballots.

4 tickets for Days 2 and 3 at Old Trafford sorted but by golly it was a bottom ache to do. Had to sign up with two different email addresses to allocate tickets to myself. One entire morning spent online securing them.

Does ECB expect all tests to be sold out for them to go the ballot route?

30 of us off to day 1 at Edgbaston again, sat behind bowlers arm again by the sounds of it...should be a nice quiet affair 👀

Hi guys

I’m a bit confused- I could only seem to get in the ballot for edgbaston and Old Trafford- am I missing something?

We managed to get ours early by buying a Warwickshire membership for about £100, this meant being able to buy them a day before general release. And the only way of getting 30 organised in one block!

Snaffle another 2 last night for late comers but these are in a different stand and looks like only odd singles now dotted about everywhere are left for day 1.

@golders there was a pre-sale at Edgbaston for anyone who’d bought tickets for the India series - for some reason they didn’t limit the number you can buy so you’ll be very lucky to pick up anything through the ballot. Barely any seats left already!
