Apparently some bats now have 2 sweet spots ! Can anyone elaborate ?

I think the sweet spot on the paragon is actually right in between the two circles/sweet spots he drew. Doesn't make sense what he is talking about..
-
Why not put a third sweet spot in the middle of the two exisiting sweet spots to make one long sweet spot all the way, and release the batsman from split second mental calculations as to which sweet spot to use after the ball is delivered?

:D

Shorter blade trend was started by CA just like the bowed bats.
Few years ago, people were deriding the shorter blades of CA, now everyone is making them bats with shorter blades. How things change. :D
-
WTF?
-
Yes? Centre of percussion and the traditional 'sweet spot', or fundamental vibration node.
-
Didn't GN bring out a bat with two sweet spots this year

Yup I remember thinking the same! I remember as a youngster having my CA mocked as it had a curve... As you said.... How things change indeed!

Maybe one day you'll get your head round the difference between a full size short blade bat marketed as such, and CA sending people harrows labeled as SH.

Ive had bats where i would have been happy with one sweetspot! :)

Perfectly said...I first realized this when I forgot my bat for a match and borrowed my friends CA 15000. It had an amazing middle but when I held it in my hands, it felt like a kid's bat.

Right! When Newbery quietly did it with its Blitz or another bat (Uzi? I can't remember the name), no one batted an eyelash! Only after two years of releasing the bat, it became public that Newbery was selling shorter blade bats.
They were never harrow either.

Was it too light or just your perception?
Anyone I know who uses a CA ever complains about the feel that it is kid sized.

I meant length wise. It was definitely not a standard SH.

^ That's interesting.
When I am holding a bat and ready to face a bowler, my hands can feel the weight difference but not the length.
