Title: Win a cleft - Sponsored by Lekka Sport
Post by: Howzat on February 14, 2010, 12:40:44 PM
CustomBATS have teamed up with Lekka Sport... to enable you to win your very own cleft.
Inspired by the recent thread now you really can get thinking about who will make your bat!

All you have to do is spot the ball:

Members get ONE guess each BUT members with over 250 posts get TWO guesses
All entries must be PM'd (not emailed) to Leo otherwise they will be declared void
The winner will recieve a grade one english willow cleft which can be sent to them or a batmaker of their choice (If prior arrangements have been made with the batmaker).

If two or more members get it right there will be a tie breaker question where only one person can get the correct answer.
Competitions closes on St Patricks day (17th March)

Who would everybody send their cleft too if they won it?
I wouldnt mind seeing one of Matt's "Monsters", SAF Fabrica's or Redback's Surefire - or all three of them would be nice :D
Title: Re: Win a cleft - Sponsored by Lekka Sport
Post by: danspink on March 09, 2010, 01:56:10 PM
good question ss

i would send it to H4L as i love there new monster stickers and look to be producing some great bats.

or i would give warsop a ring and see if they would do it.

I would probably pass it to Gary at redback, or see what some of the part time bat makers on here could do with it, as it's not cost me Anything.
Title: Re: Win a cleft - Sponsored by Lekka Sport

Depends on how you read the competition - not sure if it means you win just a cleft, then you have to pay the batmaker or you win a cleft and a batmaker will make it for you for free.......probably needs clarifying

sorry I meant pay for Gary or another bat maker to do it, the cleft hasn't cost anything.

And Kenbrioo I think you need an oversized cleft to make a Joker.

Pity about the cleft size. I'd love to have a go making my own bat but I don't think I'd risk a G1 piece of willow for my first attempt.

bearing in mind some companies will not want to put their stickers on someone elses cleft.  especially if the cleft is not up to their standards.

Title: Re: Win a cleft - Sponsored by Lekka Sport

Well whoever wins the toss will make a difference on the score so we should all either be allowed answer after the toss or must be before

Ok few things... About how much would it cost to get a bat finished do you think?
Does the winner have to pay postage of the cleft?
And if one person if 5 runs over and one if 5 runs under who wins or is it down to posts again?

Already been said... if two people are of equal distance away it goes down to posts.
Cleft will be posted to you.
Price will vary according to individual batmakers, as a rough guide knock about £50 off their standard price.

Well the game is just over half way now, big score first up which could be a problem for some. Think I went for something in the 330 region so I need the Kings XI not to win but get fairly close

Pleased to announce that anthony is the winner.
Anthony should now arrange with a batmaker for the bat to be made and we can send it direct to them, or provide an address for us to send the cleft to.

More comps coming soon.
